- In this video I demonstrate where to find and how to change the high mounted brake light in a Kia Forte. I used a Sylvania 7506 bulb for this.
Note - It is suggested to use gloves or wash your hands before touching the glass of the bulb to avoid leaving oil residue on glass.

Terrible…this is replacing a bulb, not the light, learn to properly list and specify…waste of time
Bulbs are what produce the light? Are you referring to the bulb plastic housing?
Wasn’t looking forward to this when my fiancé told me the warning light came on. Easy peasy! You guys doing these vids don’t get enough credit. Thanks my brotha!
Thanks! I do it for people like you. It feels good to help others. Thanks for taking the time to leave positive feedback.
@@SteeleOfAllTradesbrother you are the man! Thank you. Saved me some time and money fr 🐐
Lol same here she JUST got home saying that the light came on I thought I had to take off the whole car for this light bulb 😂I love this video thanks man.
This video came in clutch and saved me a trip to Kia servicing. Thanks bro 👍
Comments like this is what keeps me going. You're welcome!
Thanks so much. It was easier than what I thought.
Glad to hear! Hate to see people go to dealerships and pay a lot for something as simple as this.
Bro. I’ve saved so much money watching videos like this. Firestone quoted me $600+ because they said they would have to remove the back windshield
I don't want to believe you about removing the rear windshield but I do believe you lol. Glad I could help!
❤ thank you so much mine came on this morning & I'm like 😮😅 this was very helpful I'll be changing mine this morning. 🙏🏾 much appreciated have a blessed day.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a positive comment.
This video was perfect! I changed mine in less than 30 secs! Thank you so much!!
I appreciate the positive feeback. Glad it helped you!
Thank you🎉 This process worked just in time for my 2019 Kia
Glad it worked for you 🤘
Thanks for showing us, thank God. At first I was so hasty that I had a hard time pulling out the burnt bulb, I thought it was like other cars where you just pull it out a little force, but I ended up breaking the burnt bulb glass and had to pull out the stem with pliers. Now I know how to change it next time, way to go buddy.
They have so many different kind of bulbs nowadays it's annoying. Some like you were saying where you just pull out the bulb, this one where you have to push and twist, then they have some like the H11B (halogen) where it is an entire bulb, socket, and plastic housing in one. Just so they can charge you more money lol.
Glad the video helped you! Thanks for taking the time to write a positive review. Appreciate it.
@@SteeleOfAllTrades yes your welcome.

Always glad to hear when people were able to save time and money doing it themselves.

Is Tyson a Jack Russell terrier?
I thought he was too! Then we did a DNA test and he is 54% Chihuahua, 14% American Cocker Spaniel, 8% Poodle, and some other breeds mixed too.
If you have a pet I suggest doing a DNA test. They are really cool and insightful. We found out our other dog is a 100% Great Pyraneese and we got him from the shelter.
It helped us understand their temperments better and why they are and do some of the things they do.
My light bulb somehow melted inside of where it sits when you insert it “the housing cap” idk exactly what it’s called but I need that part replaced.
Oh no! Was it the correct bulb number? Had to have gotten very hot for that to happen.
What year and model do you have?
I would call it something like a high mount bulb socket.
Came for the tutorial, commented for Tyson 😊
Tyson replies
"*whines in Chihuahua*"
Where can I get the bulb?
I was able to get mine at Auto Zone. I'm sure O'Reillys, or NAPA would have it in stock as well.
Can always call and ask if they have the 7506 bulb in stock before you go to the physical store.
@@SteeleOfAllTrades thank you
Your a goat
Thanks!
As a general rule one shouldn't touch auto light bulbs with one's bare fingers, as the grease deposited on the bulb is harmful, shortening the life of it.
Agreed! That's why I put the note in my description. Wash hands at least or wear gloves. This goes for any glass bulb like incandescent or halogen.
Good lookin' out 🤘
