About the show:
Marimayam is a sitcom aired on Mazhavil Manorama that depicts certain real public incidents that common people come across. This popular comedy show conveys a real picture of government offices in Kerala.
Marimayam uses humour and satire to tug at the red tape that entangles people in rules and regulation. The show highlights sleaze, incompetence and delay in government offices, public and private institutions. The series shows the common man and his woes as he runs from one office to the other in search of a solution to his problems. Sathyasheelan, Koya, Valsala, Mandodari and Syamala, all characters in the show, highlight how red tape often strangles the common man or ties him in knots.

It is a one sided examination of a sensitive issue ....should nit have shown the animal lovers in such bad light ! a more balanced depiction would not have done any harm to the concerns of majority (presumably) of malayalees who see in animals especially strays a deadly enemy....when did the people of god's own country (a misnomer) become so insensitive and inhuman ?
Both sides are important. There should be some animal shelter or some kind of Govt facilitation for sheltering these animals, or people should volunteer to own them as pets. (which is so unlikely to happen in India.) As is, kids going to school or public life should not be effected, and there should be some way to keep a check on the number of stray animals.
+Gopal Nair Show a little humanity to understand the suffering of human victims. Threat to the humans is real, not somebody's imagination. Why not those oppose the elimination of the dangerous stray dogs adopt these dogs? Isn't it sheer hypocrisy?
