I know of a source of tilapia that can tolerate salinity 3X to 4X that of the ocean. They have been in this high salinity for a long time. These tilapia can be used as broodstock to cross with molobicus.

@@levigwapoful1 Yes. This inland body of water was part of the ocean before but was cut off from it long time ago. Evaporate and the salts from the land around it accumulate into the lake, the water of the lake got more salter. Similar to the Dead Sea. We use to catch buckets full of tilapia there. I also used to work in a fish farm close on that area.
