    You can actually backdate up to a years worth of practical experience within the CA program prior to being a provisional member. This is provided you work more then 17.5 hours per week and your tasks and obligations fit the requirements deemed appropriate for 'practical experience'

    I am a Chartered Accountant from India. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work you have put in to explain us Audit so logically.
    I referred all your videos and cracked a job at E&Y for an assurance role having no experience apart from Indirect taxation. After referring your videos all the question asked in the interviews seemed so simple to answer and explain. Thanks again :)

    Hi.
    Nice video.
    Here's my view in the CA va CPA roles.
    I've been a licensed CPA for close to 30 years and I've met a lot of CPAs and CAs over the years. In many different fields of accounting.
    Based on the CPA requirements, you really need to have a Master's degree to qualify to sit for the CPA exam. Yes, they say # of accredited hours from an accredited school, but based on the #, it's just easier to get the Master's degree.
    Yes, the CA is a degree program. The CPA is a designation. We are licensed to practice Accounting by having the CPA designation after our name.
    I've seen the CA and CPA exams, I was able to keep my exams when I took my CPA exam. The exam format was close, but i think the CPA exam was much harder. I was over 3 days and hard 5 parts. Accounting Theory, Accounting Practice, Tax and Audit. Tax and Audit we're required when i took the exam.
    So, overall i think they are about the same.
    But, it really depends where you are planning on working. The CA is more prevalent in the UK and EU. Whereas the CPA is more prevalent here in the USA.

    • @omkarjadhav4645
      @omkarjadhav4645 Před 2 lety +1

      What do you think of ACCA I have been planning to pursue it since I have found Indian CA way too tough and challenging I know professional exams are meant to be tough but what's the point if the course which you are doing has the passing % that ranges between 3 to 4 and Also, the mandatory tenure to complete it is around 5 years the foundation itself is hard enough as if it serves as a sieve to stop you right there if you are an average student you have no scope hence most of the students drop it since they don't want their careers to be in the doldrums or jeopardise their future
      Also, I want to know more detailed info about CPA(US) as well as CPA(Canada)
