      Thank you very much for your wonderful comment, appreciate it very much! So glad you enjoy watching our underwater videos. Just would like to tell you that we have videos on Mafia Island (south of Pemba), Bali and Raja Ampat (West-Papua) which feature stunning underwater critters, from the tiniest nudibranch to the biggest whale sharks. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

      Dear Buchpetzer, thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much. Yes, Tanzania has wonderful dive spots. Pemba is one of them, Mafia Island is another great place to go diving and you even have a whale shark season there. Zanzibar too, though we avoided it so far because it's the most croweded island of them all. There is slideshow video about Mafia island on our channel too: czcams.com/video/soa7TgU_9ao/video.html
      With best regards, Markus

    Super Video. Du wählst fast immer "weiche" Übergänge. Finde ich sehr beruhigend. Sehr schön. Alles mit der Olympus aufgenommen?

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel
      @SandraMarkusTrachsel  Před 3 lety

      Hallo Thomas, vielen Dank für Deinen tollen Kommentar. Ja, das ist alles mit der Olympus O-MD E-M1 mk. II und dem 12-50mm (47mm Makro) Objektiv aufgenommen. Im Bali Tulamben Video hingegen war es (fast) immer das 60mm Makro. Ja genau, wir machen in allen unseren Videos die weichen Übergänge und es ist so wie du sagst einfach schön zum Schauen und Geniessen. Viele herzliche Grüsse, Markus

    Those images are wonderful, is Pemba also a good snorkeling spot or only when you dive deep enough ?

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel

      Thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much! The dive center offers snorkling as well and in the very first underwater scene in the video you can faintly see a snorkler with the guide in the upper left corner. But we cannot comment on how good it is because we have not participated in snorkling. Also you might want to check out Mafia Island as well, see here czcams.com/video/wmOcqGDnEtY/video.html . The dive center there also offers a lot of snorkling excursions and you can do snorkling with whale sharks from November till February at least. Check out our video to see how that is going. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

      @@SandraMarkusTrachsel hey, thank you for your kind answer. I will check about possible snorkeling tours or try to do a diving course :)
      Your Mafia video is wonderful too, sadly I'm going there in july so no whale sharks for me :/
      Best wishes,

      Dear Aquavidify, thank you very much for your kind comment and sorry for my late reply, we just came back today. Great to hear that the video gave you some inspiration for diving in Tanzania. We have also been diving twice on the island of Mafia. There you have the chance to snorkle with whale sharks. If you like, please check our slide show videos about the island of Mafia as well. All the best and wishing you a great time in Tanzania. Best regards, Markus

    Hi! Do you feel the reefs are more vibrant and alive in Pemba than in the north of Zanzibar (Unguja)?
    We're going to Zanzibar in March and I'm hoping to show my girlfriend some beautiful Indian Ocean coral reefs, but I've been diving the north of Zanzibar (Nungwi) before, and I feel like the reefs were a bit worn out, i.e. barely any hard-coral cover, not a lot of fish life etc.

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel
      @SandraMarkusTrachsel  Před rokem

      Thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much. Unfortunately we have never dived in Zanzibar and only that one time in Pemba in 2017. So this video is everything we can refer to. Definitely we had experienced so beautiful coral reefs plenty of fish as shown. Hope you will have many amazing dives as well, either in Zamzibar or Pemba. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

    Hi, great video!! Would you recommend this area for photography? Then out of interest, what camera and housing are you using?

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel

      Dear Anthony, thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much. You can see all our equipment explained in full details here: czcams.com/video/r5dDOqveHZQ/video.html
      Also we have dived in Pemba (this video) and some years ago twice in Mafia Island, Tanzania: czcams.com/video/soa7TgU_9ao/video.html
      You can see from the videos and slides what you can expect when diving there. Especially Mafia was truranchs. And also in Mafia you have the whale sharks around December. Both locations can be combined with a wildlife safari, which we did in both occasions (as you can see on our other videos as well). With best regards, Markus

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel
      @SandraMarkusTrachsel  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Ricardo, thank you very much for your kind comment. This Pemba is the island just north of Zanzibar which is Tanzania. Please find all our underwater video equipment shown and listed in detail here: czcams.com/video/r5dDOqveHZQ/video.html . In brief these are two X-Adventurer 5000 Lumen video lights. I think they are replaced with a newer product with 6000 lumen and they also have a very interesting 15000 lumen video light available. With best regards, Markus
