RIP Hywel Bennett. An underrated and incredibly versatile actor.
One of my favourite actors. Perfectly cast in the under rated masterpiece, The Family Way. You are missed.
Shelley...one of my all time favourite sitcoms.....fabulous....
The Family Way - the greatest film of all time, a nostalgic masterpiece. Never will a family story be told and acted again like this one was. I am seventy years of age and first saw the film at the age of eighteen, it is still as powerful in my memory as it was fifty two years ago. Thank you, Hayley Mills, Hywell Bennett, and Paul McCartney for the most nostalgic film music ever written .
I feel exactly the same. I was fourteen and am now sixty-one. After watching the film I began asking myself questions about marriage in a way I'd never done before. It attracted me to the idea of marrying and the thoughts it gave me stayed for a very long time.
Rest in Peace, Hywel Bennett, loved all the work you gave us

what a beautiful young man. i just heard him in Emlyn William's play 'Night Must Fall' here on CZcams. The character i saw in my head almost matched him - his expression here is just perfect for Danny. i do hope he left us peacefully. . .

A wonderful actor who stood out in everything in which he appeared. Shelley is still a masterpiece of comedy writing and brilliant considered delivery and timing. Thank you Mr Bennett for your memorable performances.

Today i saw him for the first time in a Bonnie Tyler's song. When he appeared,my mind went blank. Couldn't focus on the song anymore. What a gorgeous man, a sexy weirdness....It's a pity he is gone....💔
