@@PanD0rado there is a difference he needed to go to the shrine of resurrection AND lost all of his memories if he passed out he would remember and he wouldn't need to be revived
To anyone saying this is an incredible detail, this is probably an amazing coincidence. His last save was likely under the cage after it was moved, and dying reset its position.
Fun fact: you are completely safe in there and can grab things outside to easily cheese the camp! On the other hand, you can also enslave the bokoblins with enough patience!
Well… they are bokoblins. Also, they never come across any travelers as well equipped or skilled as Link, so they probably forgot or didn’t think of it because no one else has been able to escape the cages without a loud struggle
Yeah, I think it would be cool if the big boss bokos were able to pick them up and throw them at you. It would make the monster force battles a lot more interesting and fun.
I think what happened is that it autosaved mid-battle. Upon loading a save, all enemies and objects get reloaded to their default location/status. It does not save anything like the current position or health of enemies/objects, so they are defaulted to the same state they would be in as if you had just entered the area, however Link's current coordinates do get saved, regardless of being in combat or not. What most likely happened is that the cage was moved during the fight, and right as the autosave occurred, he just happened to be overlapping with the cage's original location. When it reloaded him to the saved location, the cage was loaded to be on top of him. Quite an awesome coincidence (or he could have also just regularly saved there, with or without the cage being on him yet)

I meant first as in first comment

So, that's why in the presentation of the abilities, Aonuma used being trapped in a cage as an example for a way to use Ascend...
OHHHHH I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THAT FOR A YEAR NOW
Its a shame that this game is so easy, because stuff like this is really cool.
There is in fact a shrine about that idea. It is the Jikais Shrine.
Doesn’t this kinda mean that every time link loses all of his hearts he doesn’t die but passes out
Yo good point though
Then how would link "die" in breath of the wild?
@@Supremekaiofmemes he doesn’t 😟
@@SupremekaiofmemesWhat would be the difference??? Why can't he just pass out in BoTW like he does in ToTK

Yea same
Wow... I'm never looking at these cages the same way again. one day I might wake up in one. 0_0
Omg, i never knew this cause i never died at a monster camp

Skill issue honestly

So they put link in a cage then when he wakes up attack the cage he's in?
I imagine it's cause they forgot to take his weapons, and forgot he can just lift the cage up.
Why would they leave all his weapons with him though. That's just stupid of them lmao
Maybe they are too proud for that and underestimate the enemy.

@-INSERT_FUNNY_HERE- Fair enough lmao
I mean, the Gerudo made the same mistake in Ocarina of Time...
Wait that's actually sick
The amount of detail they put into this game is insane

Yeah, that would be cool, but the cages are a bit too big for the boss bokos to be able to throw, as the boss bokos can get stuck in them.
True mabe if they had slightly smaller cages I guess?

OH MY GOODNESS I JUST WOKE UP AN SAW THIS THANKYOU SO MUCH
My Link has never canonically died because I reset my Switch when he does 😎
This is so smart
same energy as resetting when you die in mario 3d land so it says "0 lives lost" on your save file

Well. How did that get in there
Oh how the turns have tabled
How come this never happened to me though? I’ve died so may times in a Monster camp!!!
Unlucky. Or lucky I guess?
Mine just reloads the last save
So did The guy Who uploaded The video
It's just That the Cage moved, He auto Saved where The cage Was, then Died at Some point Before it Saved again
it seems to me that OP just put himself in the cage, saved, left the cage, died to monsters, and got reloaded back into the cage.
Yep.

If you die in the monster camp you wake up inside one of the cages. Implying the monsters captured and imprisoned you.
