The installed roof racks on any Audi automatically activates all safety features, anti rollover etc and also lowers the top speed for safety reasons as it assumes you are carrying cargo on the roof. While they are installed, these features cannot be turned off. Remove the roof racks and you can then fully enjoy the vehicle as it was meant to be driven. 🤓😎👍👍 For more lesser known Audi tips, naw, never mind....😁

I was thinking the same thing; the car also adjusts its handling for an expected higher center of gravity when the roof racks are installed.

This actually doesn’t apply on the Sq8 the light weight Audi racks do not alter the performance.

I feel like there's a handling restriction associated with keeping the roof rack cross bars on; sensors detect them and restrict handling, regardless of settings. You may have experienced "stepped on" handling without knowing it.

Some day electric cars will dominate. It will transform the industry. Yes, perhaps it may be “greener”, but the powertrains will become a commodity amongst all manufacturers, with the differential only being range. But these cars will not have a soul like a high powered ICE car. Faster in a straight line, yes. More fun to drive? Debatable. And if we ever get to self driving cars, forget about any performance cars. Many will cherish this day, but many drivers will not. And we are not all dinosaurs.
