It’s so true that being legalistic about small things like that can lead (especially) new Christians astray. As long as you understand the most important things, like accepting Jesus into your heart, other more minor things will be dealt with through time. Everyone will feel convicted by the Holy Spirit of what is wrong for them personally, so they can walk in the divine will of God.

Big hugs 🤍 I have found that God never resists us because of our sin but rather sin in certain areas restricts the capacity for God and when we yearn for more of God’s presence that’s when we become aware of what has been hindering that and are able to repent. The only times God truly hides His face from His people is when there is direct rebellion but most of the time pride is something that sneaks up on us and by God’s grace we become aware through humility, it’s kind of a beautiful thing because we are reminded again and agin of His goodness and glory. 😊
I had a very crazy experience in regards to having a religious spirit. Once I identify as a Christian, the religiois spirit overcame me & i became judgemental towards others ALOT & I was like whats going on with me , before I was a Christian, I wasnt like that. Then I started to feel pressure of having to be perfect for God. It was oneday where I got tired of the guilt & shame of not being being perfect for God that I got mad & I said I am not Christian ANYMORE. I BELIEVE IN GOD but not religion & I rebuked the religious spirit & I felt that thing fly off of me & I felt so much peace & freedom. Religion is man made.I don't identify with no religion but I do believe in God the God of Abraham,Isaac, & Jacob.
One does need the Church (I'm Catholic) to guide them and the Lord as the Lord has given them authority to interpret scriptures and guide his flock we can't do it all alone I know that. I aknowledge that the Catholic church has had leaders who done messed up thing especially because political powers got in involved but the Canon dogmas, Traditions and Beliefs still stand as that has passed down from the apostles.
That sounds more like you felt the devil leave you because you gave in. Never fear identifying as follower of Christ And if you believe in the God of Abraaham, his name I Jesus Christ and if you follow his commandments and ways then you are a Christian. What you can get caught up in though is legality aka religiousness (just doing it as a ritual and not as a relationship and having it truly affect your soul).

Have a personal relationship with the Lorde but, you need to also follow the word of God. I'm so grateful for this video! I prayed a few days ago for God to reveal to me, the reason for the confusion and jealously I felt towards my peer. She's a straight A student, well spoken, Christian and gave a 'soft girl' vibe. I basically thought she was greater than me because she had the characteristics I thought were "perfect". I was afraid of her judgment, I thought that everything she opposed was wrong. I was unintentionally trying to be like her (acting more like her and less of me). Until I got to know her more and realised that she gossiped ALOT. I came to the conclusion that she didn't have any humility, and found flaws in everyone. I knew she wasn't humble. But I didn't know if what my 'conclusion /thought' was me envying her intelligence or actually making a good point. Because it was slightly detrimental to my me, and my perspective of my doings.
Thank you for your message, me too God took me out of the Legalist, a life of Pharisianism without me noticing this fact in my life. He is doing a work of redemption and he shows his grace and his goodness to my expectation, I have more of this grace and this love to give to others. The Lord is almighty and worthy of praise, honor and glory, I long to see him face to face.

I spend so much of my time in conversation with the Lord. I talk to him all day long. I feel him with me and I’m so very thankful for that!! It’s my only comfort in these crazy times. He does answer me a lot of the time in an idea or helping me locate something I can’t find. He is simply my life!

I agree 100%. Being " religious " is like having a large stone wrapped around the legs which weighs us down with unnecessary burdens we cannot and do not have to carry. The spirit of religion is definitely dangerous. It's a modern day Pharisee concept and what I call a bunch of dodo. Don't do this, or do this or that when it's not even sin biblically. As a maturing Christian, I think we all go through this process of sanctification where we’re growing and eventually are better at discerning God’s words. There are times where we will catch ourselves being “religious” or “judgmental” … one of the hardest part for me is learning to differentiate what correcting a fellow believer Vs. Being judgmental and higher than thou towards a fellow believer because at times you might have the right intentions and then go about it the wrong way and end up looking like a Pharisee. I hope you continue on this process of sanctification and continue to share the Gospel!
I woke up at the beginning of the pandemic. I received the gift salvation when I was 11 years old im 56 now. God dealt with me about religion and he has show me so much. Especially how people namely preachers have literally taken the Bible and use it to manipulate people for their own personal gain. I learned that all the religious denominations that exist are man made. God told us to be holy he never said to join a religious group. So many people are caught up in these false churches blinded by from the truth. So I agree with you I don’t do religion I do God and I have a wonderful relationship with him.

That is why I love Esther, Ruth, Rahab, and Mary so much! Their stories, like Esther and Ruth, teaches us so much about humbleness and sacrifice, Mary is about faith and submission (she doesn't outright question God's plan for her life), Rahab is another depiction about sacrifice, something they all shared in common, but I loved most is that they all "rose" up and took action. We sometimes expect God to solve issues for us but sometimes God requires us to "get up" first...It's so easy to get lost in the self than to follow Christ, I have my difficulties. We have to make sacrifices, which is not always easy (Matthew 7:7 & James 1). It may be pride, arrogance, anger, rage, etc..Don't sweep it under the rug...imagine if Esther had ignored Haman's decree? These individuals took action :)

I may have experienced this. A guy told me one time I was making him stumble in his walk with the Lord because I pointed out to him that he was using zodiac signs and horoscopes. I came from satanism and witchcraft. Thank the Lord for saving a wicked person like me. So, I know how dangerous and wicked using that type of witchcraft is. I may have pointed it out in a mean and arrogant way but that wasn't my intention. I feel like pride does kind of keep up unnoticed sometimes and we can act like a Pharisee without even being aware. I really do stand with not using stuff like that as Christians but maybe I could have been nicer, or just prayed about it first. I went in thinking I had to handle it rather than letting God handle it. I'm sorry Lord, forgive me.
Yes, I have felt like God is not near, sometimes. I recognize it and ask Him, “Why are you distant, Lord?” He helps me figure it out (my issue keeping Him distant).
Maybe I am not explaining well enough. There are times I feel God is distant. I don’t hear Him when I call. But that is because I have created the distance by being too wrapped up in this world, and He helps me figure that out and I feel Him close, again. He is always there, but there are times I feel His presence and times I don’t. That’s my experience.

im a newly convert to christianity from islam i never felt connected to isalm even when i was muslim i would always be watching christian youtube channels ive red the bible and revelations but one day i would sit with a pastor to learn it more. Turns out practicing religion "religiously" is not always the loving expression of faith it should be. I think i experienced this in private catholic school. i believe God works in that space, and i did feel his presence. My issue with that space came from so much expectation to perform academically, they did not care to help or learn & love individual students enough. It is so sad because several students have almost or did take their own lives attending that school, including myself. Please people, pray that God helps adults improve their youth programs so that youth may never feel such pain and sorrow. I am glad i did not give up on my faith from that experience. God saved me.

I turned to God in 2015. A year or so on, I had a thought of wanting to know God better. Almost instantly God showed me possible the most important passage in Bible (in my humble opinion). That passage is: ''For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.'' Hosea 6: 6 ''knowledge of God ...'' This is like the nucleus. Honestly, I feel there is something that needs to be said. I think people are confusing the word religion with straying from God. Many people are turning religion into something that is toxic (like saying the pharacies were religious but were distant from God's will and people therefore claiming all religion is toxic) when in reality when done for the glory of the Lord religion is a beautiful structure in which God organizes His kingdom, allows for an objective interpretation of His word to be established and for God's people to come together to worship God and glorify Him to all the nations. Jesus came to establish religion, not abolish it. All in all, I like the statement you are making and I understand it (especially 4:30) I simply want to point out how numerous Christians are mis-defining the term "religion". I definitely need to very closely examine myself of pride constantly for it destroys the soul. I'm so joyful for your revelation and being humble is extremely important and I'm so glad it was revealed to you! Truly, God is active within all of our lives and many do not know it. yes it's the only thing that will matter is knowing that you are ready for Jesus and that you warned everyone to be ready for the day of the Lord. I don't want anyone I know or am acquainted with to not be ready for that day.
This video actually came at a great time for me. I believe I have drifted away (from many things) and even find it kind of obnoxious forcing doctrine down people's throats. Whilst doing what's right is important, I find that I'd rather veer towards understanding and encouraging by example interestingly, that lead me to the goal of 'removing the log' from my own eye.
Yeshua stated plainly that we are not to "judge" as in condemn. However, people often do just that. I guess that many who comment on others in a religious context have not really studied everything that Yeshua said.
I was disappointed wondering how it got to this "religion" I was miserable in and didn't sign up for. Then after listening to a minister on the radio in the book of Galatians the Lord freed me! A tip I'm trying to get a hold of is to ask God to remind me of who He is. What I've read in the Bible, how I love Him, and how it's an honor to get to spend personal time with him as the Israelites couldn't in a way we can now. I also ask God to have faith to believe and have grace to remember these things. For any time i don't feel like spending extra time with him or am not being genuine with my heart. Yk? Romans chapter 6 and 7, are talk about the law/religion. I believe that since Jesus died for us we are free from the law, meaning it's no longer "oh I must not do this or that or I will get punishment/die" the perspective has changed to, "Lord, I want to do what is right to please you and bring glory to your name", this includes everything from the what we do, say, listen to...etc. We begin to live in the Spirit.
Pride is not of God but is why Lucifer fell from heaven. We all fall short of the glory of God but some qualities we have will not make the walk with God easy. Fully surrender to let God remove all that doesn't work for God's will for you, especially the plank in our eyes as you mentioned.

For sure. I am Christian. I have been attending a church intermittently since 2017. I became more involved since 2021 and me and my two daughters (ages 10 and 6) were baptized there. This year I noticed so much arrogance and unkindness towards others from the handful of “church members” (what made them members was that they tithed regularly and we didn’t because I gave what I could when I could). My children performed in dances and I provided my time and energy to the youth and dance but was never acknowledged and considered an “outsider - not a member.” It got to the point where a church member said they could only provide support (although I never asked for support) if we are church members and the pastor said that I didn’t know love (although we are both saved and have the holy spirit) and would judge people based on appearance and preach about wearing expensive things as a Christian. I also started noticing that the handful of older people at the top lived in big houses and had four or five cars and the current pastor was given a million dollars upon her father (former pastors) passing and her focus each week for several months was on tithing. Conversations were centered on wealth and it didn’t sit right in my spirit. Also, when I looked around no one in the church appeared happy (not even the children) and I felt everyone’s energy. It was really sad, as I once thought this was my church family and I finally found my church home. The Pharisees can surely turn you away and it’s very sad when all you want to do is serve God and fellowship with others who love and honor God.

Then I came back to Christ and saw a lot of church behaviour I did, witnessed and though was completely okay with isn't biblical . Working on emulating Christ and not people - whether they are Christian or not.

It’s so true that being legalistic about small things like that can lead (especially) new Christians astray. As long as you understand the most important things, like accepting Jesus into your heart, other more minor things will be dealt with through time. Everyone will feel convicted by the Holy Spirit of what is wrong for them personally, so they can walk in the divine will of God.

Big hugs 🤍 I have found that God never resists us because of our sin but rather sin in certain areas restricts the capacity for God and when we yearn for more of God’s presence that’s when we become aware of what has been hindering that and are able to repent. The only times God truly hides His face from His people is when there is direct rebellion but most of the time pride is something that sneaks up on us and by God’s grace we become aware through humility, it’s kind of a beautiful thing because we are reminded again and agin of His goodness and glory. 😊

I had a very crazy experience in regards to having a religious spirit.
Once I identify as a Christian, the religiois spirit overcame me & i became judgemental towards others ALOT & I was like whats going on with me , before I was a Christian, I wasnt like that. Then I started to feel pressure of having to be perfect for God. It was oneday where I got tired of the guilt & shame of not being being perfect for God that I got mad & I said I am not Christian ANYMORE. I BELIEVE IN GOD but not religion & I rebuked the religious spirit & I felt that thing fly off of me & I felt so much peace & freedom.

One does need the Church (I'm Catholic) to guide them and the Lord as the Lord has given them authority to interpret scriptures and guide his flock we can't do it all alone I know that. I'm so grateful for this video! I prayed a few days ago for God to reveal to me, the reason for the confusion and jealously I felt towards my peer. She's a straight A student, well spoken, Christian and gave a 'soft girl' vibe. I basically thought she was greater than me because she had the characteristics I thought were "perfect".
I was afraid of her judgment, I thought that everything she opposed was wrong. I was unintentionally trying to be like her (acting more like her and less of me). Until I got to know her more and realised that she gossiped ALOT.
I came to the conclusion that she didn't have any humility, and found flaws in everyone. I knew she wasn't humble. But I didn't know if what my 'conclusion /thought' was me envying her intelligence or actually making a good point. Because it was slightly detrimental to my me, and my perspective of my doings.
Thank you for your message, me too God took me out of the Legalist, a life of Pharisianism without me noticing this fact in my life. He is doing a work of redemption and he shows his grace and his goodness to my expectation, I have more of this grace and this love to give to others. The Lord is almighty and worthy of praise, honor and glory, I long to see him face to face.
It’s not about religion. It’s about a relationship, the covenant between you and the Lord.

I spend so much of my time in conversation with the Lord. I talk to him all day long. I feel him with me and I’m so very thankful for that!! It’s my only comfort in these crazy times. He does answer me a lot of the time in an idea or helping me locate something I can’t find. He is simply my life!

I agree 100%. Being " religious " is like having a large stone wrapped around the legs which weighs us down with unnecessary burdens we cannot and do not have to carry. The spirit of religion is definitely dangerous. It's a modern day Pharisee concept and what I call a bunch of dodo. Don't do this, or do this or that when it's not even sin biblically. As a maturing Christian, I think we all go through this process of sanctification where we’re growing and eventually are better at discerning God’s words.
There are times where we will catch ourselves being “religious” or “judgmental” … one of the hardest part for me is learning to differentiate what correcting a fellow believer Vs. Being judgmental and higher than thou towards a fellow believer because at times you might have the right intentions and then go about it the wrong way and end up looking like a Pharisee.
I hope you continue on this process of sanctification and continue to share the Gospel!
I woke up at the beginning of the pandemic. I received the gift salvation when I was 11 years old im 56 now. God dealt with me about religion and he has show me so much. Especially how people namely preachers have literally taken the Bible and use it to manipulate people for their own personal gain. I learned that all the religious denominations that exist are man made. God told us to be holy he never said to join a religious group. So many people are caught up in these false churches blinded by from the truth. So I agree with you I don’t do religion I do God and I have a wonderful relationship with him.

That is why I love Esther, Ruth, Rahab, and Mary so much! Their stories, like Esther and Ruth, teaches us so much about humbleness and sacrifice, Mary is about faith and submission (she doesn't outright question God's plan for her life), Rahab is another depiction about sacrifice, something they all shared in common, but I loved most is that they all "rose" up and took action. We sometimes expect God to solve issues for us but sometimes God requires us to "get up" first...It's so easy to get lost in the self than to follow Christ, I have my difficulties. We have to make sacrifices, which is not always easy (Matthew 7:7 & James 1). It may be pride, arrogance, anger, rage, etc..Don't sweep it under the rug...imagine if Esther had ignored Haman's decree? These individuals took action :)

I may have experienced this. A guy told me one time I was making him stumble in his walk with the Lord because I pointed out to him that he was using zodiac signs and horoscopes. I came from satanism and witchcraft. Thank the Lord for saving a wicked person like me. So, I know how dangerous and wicked using that type of witchcraft is. I may have pointed it out in a mean and arrogant way but that wasn't my intention. I feel like pride does kind of keep up unnoticed sometimes and we can act like a Pharisee without even being aware. I really do stand with not using stuff like that as Christians but maybe I could have been nicer, or just prayed about it first. I went in thinking I had to handle it rather than letting God handle it. I'm sorry Lord, forgive me.

Yes, I have felt like God is not near, sometimes. I recognize it and ask Him, “Why are you distant, Lord?” He helps me figure it out (my issue keeping Him distant).
He's not the one being distant. I'm guilty of that, but notice the more I hand everything to Him, the closer He is.
Remember Christ lives in every born again believer. He couldn't be any closer!
Maybe I am not explaining well enough. There are times I feel God is distant. I don’t hear Him when I call. But that is because I have created the distance by being too wrapped up in this world, and He helps me figure that out and I feel Him close, again. He is always there, but there are times I feel His presence and times I don’t. That’s my experience.

Turns out practicing religion "religiously" is not always the loving expression of faith it should be. I think i experienced this in private catholic school. i believe God works in that space, and i did feel his presence. My issue with that space came from so much expectation to perform academically, they did not care to help or learn & love individual students enough. It is so sad because several students have almost or did take their own lives attending that school, including myself. Please people, pray that God helps adults improve their youth programs so that youth may never feel such pain and sorrow. I am glad i did not give up on my faith from that experience. God saved me.

Honestly, I feel there is something that needs to be said. I think people are confusing the word religion with straying from God. Many people are turning religion into something that is toxic (like saying the pharacies were religious but were distant from God's will and people therefore claiming all religion is toxic) when in reality when done for the glory of the Lord religion is a beautiful structure in which God organizes His kingdom, allows for an objective interpretation of His word to be established and for God's people to come together to worship God and glorify Him to all the nations. Jesus came to establish religion, not abolish it. All in all, I like the statement you are making and I understand it (especially 4:30) I simply want to point out how numerous Christians are mis-defining the term "religion". I definitely need to very closely examine myself of pride constantly for it destroys the soul. I'm so joyful for your revelation and being humble is extremely important and I'm so glad it was revealed to you! Truly, God is active within all of our lives and many do not know it. Romans chapter 6 and 7, are talk about the law/religion. I believe that since Jesus died for us we are free from the law, meaning it's no longer "oh I must not do this or that or I will get punishment/die" the perspective has changed to, "Lord, I want to do what is right to please you and bring glory to your name", this includes everything from the what we do, say, listen to...etc. We begin to live in the Spirit.
Pride is not of God but is why Lucifer fell from heaven.
We all fall short of the glory of God but some qualities we have will not make the walk with God easy.
Fully surrender to let God remove all that doesn't work for God's will for you, especially the plank in our eyes as you mentioned.
It takes discipline but a whole heart and mind and soul to love God as we walk with Him.
This was amazing! It addresses why the Matthew 7 crowd, who mention the Lord's name, will have Jesus say "I never knew you, depart from me you who practice lawlessness". Just like one preacher said, it is not only the professors of Christ, but the possessors of Christ, who will inherit eternal life. God bless you.

Relationship Amen. Work is for the blessed who were given much. Over Flowing over. God needs us to love ourselves and others, by loving ourselves right, by taking care of ourselves, with a right heart, a heart after God's own heart. We have to pray for those God puts in our path, to learn to love themselves the same. In Christ.
James 1 says pure and faultless religion is that which helps the widows and orphans and not being polluted by the world. - plain and simple.

For sure. I am Christian. I have been attending a church intermittently since 2017. I became more involved since 2021 and me and my two daughters (ages 10 and 6) were baptized there. This year I noticed so much arrogance and unkindness towards others from the handful of “church members” (what made them members was that they tithed regularly and we didn’t because I gave what I could when I could). My children performed in dances and I provided my time and energy to the youth and dance but was never acknowledged and considered an “outsider - not a member.” It got to the point where a church member said they could only provide support (although I never asked for support) if we are church members and the pastor said that I didn’t know love (although we are both saved and have the holy spirit) and would judge people based on appearance and preach about wearing expensive things as a Christian. I also started noticing that the handful of older people at the top lived in big houses and had four or five cars and the current pastor was given a million dollars upon her father (former pastors) passing and her focus each week for several months was on tithing. Conversations were centered on wealth and it didn’t sit right in my spirit. Also, when I looked around no one in the church appeared happy (not even the children) and I felt everyone’s energy. It was really sad, as I once thought this was my church family and I finally found my church home. The Pharisees can surely turn you away and it’s very sad when all you want to do is serve God and fellowship with others who love and honor God.

The panic I got 😭 I agree with your points though. I wanna get to know Christ. In my experience, when I drifted from Christ, I dipped into the world. Then I came back to Christ and saw a lot of church behaviour I did, witnessed and though was completely okay with isn't biblical . Working on emulating Christ and not people - whether they are Christian or not.

Worship is a lifestyle instead of visiting church once a week. Sadly many Christians point fingers. I express why I live the way I do, but I believe everyone has to decide for themselves what they are going to do from conviction.
