    People need to stop arguing over which sport is better, the athletes from both sports are the best at what they do and are limited by the rules of the game. What we should be doing is learning from each sport and trying to pick up techniques that can be translated into the other in order to enhance the play, and further improve our games.

  • @o8kate8o
    @o8kate8o Před 13 lety

    @Easthattrick The thing is, it actually requires more skill to get the ball pushed down with force to score a try because you can still be over the line but get held up by the oposition. Also in professional rugby you will notice that the whole team is actually fit. Yeah the forwards are bigger, but that's just their build, atleast they aren't fat. Also, the diving is in a whole different class then the soccor dives. Soccor dives are to get the opposition carded, rugby dives are for points.

    @Easthattrick If you knew anything about Rugby (which you don't), then you would know that they can't just cross the line with the ball. The have to touch the ball down on the floor and apply downward pressure, so simply crossing the line would not score any points. Any more questions??

    @ A hit up player? Yes if we are still talking around 2006, Ma'as passing game is his strength now, his skip balls to put people into space and choosing the right time to go are what have turned him into the best 12 in the world. They have already been voted best midfield combination in the super15 on the esteemed planet rugby forum. I think this Benson Stanley thing may be just be some personal man love of your own. ;)

    my bro plays rugby and the hits are hard enough that he's gotten 8 stitches in his forehead, had tears in ligaments in his shoulder, injured his knee, and was mottled with bruises after just half a season. he was a linebacker in high school and even he says rugby goes harder than football.

    @imnotokeither no it's not, lol. Maybe to someone watching, but in union you're always moving.. well a good player is anyway, especially in the forwards.. if you are in the forwards if you arent sprinting to the next ruck you're trying to drive a player off the ball (which is bloody hard work) or you are running the ball into the line..
    even GOOD backs like in the all blacks will be sprinting around the field looking for work..
    league you wait until you get the ball then run..

    good video,, funny stuff,,, I really love the game of rugby,, unfortunately I never got a chance to learn the game at a young age, My son is playing his second year of u-19 . He played 4 years of American style football, The bad part about usa football is that the vast majority of high school players never get a chance to play an organized game after high school. The cost of equptment is just too much. We now have rugby clubs starting to grow and you can play into your 40s if you want to

    @Easthattrick About your reply to fah2eh, there's a film where Micky Rourke, one of the best actors in Hollywood, that's coming soon about Welsh Rugby star Gareth Thomas, and his fear of coming out as a gay man because he thought it would restrict his career.
    There is also an awesome film called Invictus that came out 2 years ago; a film about how Rugby significantly reduced violent crime and racial segregation in South Africa.

    @Easthattrick Před 13 lety

    @o8kate8o Well at least you didn't resort to rude names in your reply. And I'm sorry but it's tougher in soccer/Gridiron to score than in rugby. In soccer, you have to kick the ball and find the open spot. Not easy. And in Gridiron (like rugby) you do have opposition (much bigger opposition) that tries to stop you. In rugby, one need only throw themselves on the ground like a 2 year old to score. Actually that's a good way of looking at it. It's a juvenile game. Soccer's for adults.
