IRL: Tank was so straightforward and easy to use that conscript or foreign operator can immediately be accostumed to operating the vehicle in less than 6 weeks
In War Thunder: enemy tank aren't just fighting against you, the game engine core design itself is fighting against you when playing the 103
As much as goofy, comical, RNG-reliant, and scummy the World of Tanks can get, at least their Version of Stridsvagn 103 has smoother hull aim 😂
One of the best WT CZcamsrs out there. The quality of the gameplay, commentary and vehicle selection are all top notch. The other guys are great, but Ryan is on another level. We gotta get this guy more subs!

This is one of those vehicles I REALLY want to like, but the aiming makes it so difficult. Overall, I think it's an alright vehicle.

The Strv 103s are painful to play, they should have 2 or engines, 1 turbine and 1 diesel. It should be able to function pretty much normally with only 1 of them.
I’m not entirely sure as I’ve found some different stuff, but it might have 2 transmissions and it should be able to aim with only 1 of them.
Anyways always a good day when ryanberry uploads.
They had both 2 engines and 2 transmissions, they also had a programmable autoloader. It’s normal reload was I think 2.8 seconds but could even go down to 1 second it was just more susceptible to jams.
IRL this tank was/is an absolute monster. This thing was designed when the French 7.3/7.7’s were designed (50’s), it looks and was so far ahead of its time and it’s so sad to see War Thunder bastardize these tanks. Hopefully they actually fix hull aim and give it the 2 engines and transmissions. I think they can keep the 4 second reload, it’s fast enough and other vehicles need a corrected reload much more than this tank (for example almost every French tank, Type 90/10, and the ZTZ99a)
@@ruckin-ro5590 Thanks for confirming the transmissions. And a faster reload would mean it goes up in BR to where it’s armor would be even less useful, 4 seconds is already great.
It used to function that way in WT, with 1 engine destroyed you used to be able to still look around and aim

I really prefer these Tank cause of the Armour and Penetration but the disadvantage is thag the Turret can only move up and down so you have to move the tank for a angle.
It takes my 1 min to identify a is 1 10m in front of my and this dude sees that object from 5km away

Bro I nearly snapped grinding through the 103s. I was on my absolute edge. Now I’m slowly getting into 9.0s and it’s even worse because I’m fighting Leopard 2s with my 103 and 104 and I’m straight up not having a good time
All the 103s seriously need to get a step down in BR. 8.3 down to 8.0. 7,7 down to 7,3 and such.

@@destroyerarmor2846 How so? If the Leopard1 got pushed down to 7.3 then I see no reason for the earlier 103s to stay at 7.7. The only thing the do better is fire rate and survivability. Otherwise the leopard had them beat in every single way. More flexible, gets 400mm HEAT, easier to aim, you can fight back or run away even if you get hit once.
There’s absolutely no reason for the 103s to be a higher BR than a Leopard1.

Tried playing the T-44? That's ridiculous how much that turret wobbles, I find very amusing how a vehicle with a superior suspension and a proper fitted chassis and turret can be worse than the T-34/85 that was some hillbilly DIY how that tank's suspension and turret worked.

It's hard to explain. It's all very subtle. Things that seem out of place, outlines of tanks, smoke from them firing. I also play at 1440p with a 27in monitor.

Strv 103 c is soo horrible at 8.3 it’s good at 7.7 8.3 it’s armor won’t work

i'm still amazed that this tank is 8.3, while tanks that are way less potent as a whole like Type 74s are up at 8.7. gaijin pls fix :(
Its fine where it is. Its really fucking shit to aim with while its supposed to be really stable like irl. The whole fucking tank wobbles when you get shot at by a mere machine gun fire. Its also pretty much useless on any kind of incline. It also gets disabled by every shot that penetrates because when the engine breaks you cant aim at all. Which is also pretty much every shot you take at 8.3.
To add to this its almost impossible to hit a moving target at range.
+ your reaction time is at least plus 3 seconds because you have to wait for the tank to stop first and the wait for it to aim at the target.
