I agree. It really moves me to see younger poeple come to appreciate the Beach Boys as I have, and to get so much pleasure from the music. Awesome
I also consider it one of the sweetest, loveliest, pop melodies ever written. Brian was just fabulous. I was lucky; I grew up with this kind of music.

Cynthia King Gracie Frick I played this song to my high school sweetheart. We were married 5 years later. 2 great kids and twenty years together. We parted ways but for the majority of the relationship, I felt this way. And I still smile whenever I hear this song.

They missed the meaning. This is a song from a man to a woman. Not women to whomever.
Perhaps a woman to a woman, or a man to a man. Or multiples to other multiples. Hell, even if Brian Wilson has specified "man to a woman," it's grown so much beyond that...now it's just one of the best pop songs in history, period.
