A small airbag (driver side) deploys within 50 milliseconds and inflating at speeds of up to 150 to 200 mph. When working on airbag equipment or wiring, proper body grounding is very important. You should be sure to ground your person for static discharge. Death or serious injury can happen quickly while working on an automobiles SRS (supplemental restraint system). No one, under any circumstances should attempt to repair or replace Airbag systems without proper training.

I wanna know the steps
1) disconnect battery to the car to ensure there's no power to the system
2) remove old airbag and clockspring
3) plug in new clockspring and airbag
4) put on battery
5) reset airbag system from obdscan
Is that right? Im afraid of ruining those rare airbag n clocksprings
I am working on replacing air bags that were deployed on a 2018 ford focus. I am so worried I wont be able to do this. After watching this I feel a little better. Please tell me i will be able to do this! Lol
You can do anything you set your mind to .. Be super careful with airbags they are explosive. Disconnect the battery for at least 24hrs before hand.
Do you need to replace all of the sensors ?

Where did you get the air bags from?
6 months ago. Sorry but I totally missed this. I ordered my from ebay but they also sale new, and some yards will still sale them.
Did the system clear after the airbag install or did you have to further reset? I have a Equinox that the drivers airbag deployed:(
You will need to send it off and have it reset.
I got into an accident with my 2004 odyssey and the bag deployed in a collision. Half of the cost of the repair is the airbag in steering wheel
It is so expensive, time consuming, and very little info available.
