I bake homemade bread!
Everything is very simple, useful and tasty!
For onion bread we need:
Warm milk 200 ml.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
Add 11 g yeast.
Mix well and leave for 10 minutes.
Finely chop 300 g onion.
I have 3 medium sized ones.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil (50 g oil).
Fry the onion until golden brown.
Sift 400 g wheat flour.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
We make a hole in the flour.
Add yeast mixture.
Oh.... my yeast really liked the milk!
The yeast ran out while frying the onions!
Add 1 tablespoon sour cream or yogurt.
Mix well.
Add roasted onions.
Mix the onion well into the batter.
Knead the dough until smooth.
Form a ball from the dough.
Cover with cling film and let rise for 1 hour.
The dough rose very well.
Knead the dough and shape into a loaf.
Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle some flour.
Score the bread with a sharp knife.
Cover with a towel and leave on for 15 minutes.
Bake in the oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes.
Let the bread cool completely.
Bread tastes great!
Very tender bread!

Ich habe es heute gebacken. Es schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Die ganze Arbeit hat meine Brotmaschine gemacht. Ich habe es nur vor dem Backen aus der Maschine genommen, etwas geknetet, geformt, nochmals im warmen Ofen 1/2 Std aufgehen lassen und gebacken. Wunderbar. Vielen Dank für dieses interessante Rezept.

Ein sehr leckeres Brot. Backe es heute zum zweiten mal. Ich habe eine Frage muß das Brot immer soviel eingeschnitten werden? Für eine Antwort wäre ich Ihnen sehr Dankbar. Freundiche Grüße aus Hannover.
I'm going to try this because I tried your earlier onion bread and the dough was so wet that it could not be rolled out. Instead I treated it like it was focaccia and that worked and it was pretty good. That older recipe had 400 ml of warm water while this has 200 ml of warm milk. It had 500g of flour and this one has 400 g of flour. The old one added 30 ml of sunflower oil while this has only the oil used in cooking the onions. I think the older recipe had way too much liquid and I wish you would have corrected it or pulled it because if I had not been creative with that really wet dough it all would have been wasted.

Csak azt felejtetted ki, hogy hány deciliter meleg teben, mennyi élesztőt raktál. Ez nagyon fontos. Az látszik, hogy friss élesztővel dolgoztál, de lehet ez száraz is.

Hallo, man sagt doch immer 500g Mehl = 7g trocken Hefe. Sie nehmen 400gr Mehl u.11 gr Trockenhefe ist das nicht zuviel Hefe?
Hab ich mich auch gefragt. 400.g Mehl fand ich zuwenig der Teig war flüssig und ich musste mehr hinzu fügen. Auch Hefe fand ich viel. Hab es aber so gemacht und es schmeckt und gelingt.
