Hello, and thank you once again for an Oxford tour, top shelf as always.The planned reunion of college alumni is now definitely cancelled, so instead of being in Oxford now, here I am still in fortress New Zealand :(
Thank goodness for virtual tours such as yours, so that I am able to continue a connection of sorts, although Merton College, or the Pitt River Natural History Museum very rarely make an appearance in any video tours, which is a shame. Nonetheless, a nice walk, so thank you.
May I mention ( for those interested ) that Jesus College have uploaded an interesting and informative video of Oxford College history, well presented and concise.
Such a shame! Hopefully your reunion will be rescheduled for less 'interesting' times. If you have a link to the Jesus College, please drop in the comments - it'd be interesting for people to see it.

Interesting to see the White Horse pub still has it`s chalkboard dedication to ' Morse ' and ' Lewis ' helped along by the current ' Endeavour ' series no doubt. Nice to see Blackwell Bookshop, only trading for a couple of centuries or so, and my go to bookshop for all of my years at Oxford. Interesting, in my mailbox last night, arrived an ordered book from Blackwell`s - it`s dispatch date - 19th June !!!!!!!!! So a delivery time of only, oh, six months or thereabouts :)
Well done to Royal Mail for carefully storing thousands of overseas consignments during the pandemic - and for a book I had all but given up as lost !

Oxford is a beautiful city. I lived in Oxford for many many years. I 'll always remember Oxford. I have plenty of memories of that city.

The Oxford Martin School you see at 9:30 has a street camera that continuously streams down the street 24/7 with the Sheldonian on the left and Blackwell's on the right that you can watch.

Oxford is truly beautiful. A truly fascinating historic city that also has a more modern side that is equally fascinating.
I also enjoyed browsing the Varsity Club, with all those nice shops! My friends, it is always a joy for me to follow you.
It really feels like I'm there with you and discovering everything about a new location.
In fact, there is no better way to visit a place than this ... by walking!

Yes! A little rest, even if the motivation is unfortunately not a vacation or simple holidays ... But already on Monday everything starts again! Italy is slowing down the infections a lot and is slowly reopening.
But I don't know if that's a good thing with Christmas coming. With shops open especially in the center of big cities, there is already a crowd ...
People just don't understand the dangers of reckless behavior. Even if the shops have reopened, you have to go there but carefully.
Let's hope this doesn't translate into a third wave ....
Italy will close again on Christmas and New Year's days, preventing travel between Regions and even between Municipalities. At least this is the intention of the government. We'll see!
I really wish you can go to Madeira for Christmas! Would be great! It is a place that attracts me very much. I would be happy to enjoy your walks there too!

The best walk without being there. I love Oxford, lived there 16years ago, and it's been trying to draw me back ever since. The only downside was a lot of people not wearing masks so early after lock down has finished.
