That being the case, I wanted to do something crazy.
Some of you might think this is weird, and that's fine, but for me, the true Dr. Manhattan is the naked version because it represents how he's cast off his humanity.
That being the case, we're doing a Full-Monty Dr. Manhattan!
Don't worry, I'm not going to show anything, but at the end we will have an atomically correct action figure.
Weird? YES!
But it's our 100th video, so let's get sculpting!

Congrats on 100 videos, you really erected this channel into something great! I mean, this custom goes really hard. Really ballsy of you to go for it. It’s conceivable you could have blown this, but you really put it in - the work, I mean. I especially love the part where you gave him a good scrubbin! Ok I’m done lol.

I know! I didn't know of any figures that had bare feet, but now I know about the caveman Robin figure, so if I find one I'll switch those out.

This looks sick!! Is there Primer infused spray paints? Lol this is gonna be my first custom figure attempt and I’m curious if I need more than white and blue for the coating
You may be able to find a paint and primer in one. They have them, but the paints I had were separate. Check your local hobby shop and you may find what you're looking for. Have fun with the custom!

I didn't, and I should have. I'm looking to get the Robin from the caveman Batman line that has bare feet and I'm going to switch out the legs from the knee down.

@@superheumann You know speaking of that caveman Robin I was looking at that figure the other day. Robin actually looks pretty cool I was going to dismiss that whole line has kind of whatever. I think the Batman and the robin looked pretty cool. The Batwoman is whatever and the Mr. freeze. I definitely could do without unless you want to make a Big Daddy from BioShock Mr. freeze Would be good for that project.

Not much, honestly. In the comic there's almost no detail at all, so I followed that Greek statue feel.
If that's the case I don't think you'd get in trouble by YT. Artistic nudity usually gets a pass!
I'm sure sculpting lil Manhattan was fun, something I would have done myself Is add a wash of glow in the dark paint. It'd really make him pop in the dark too.
I thought about that but wasn't quite sure what to use. Are there any good paints you think would work? I'd love to add that to the figure.
@@superheumann I'm personally not sure on what paint to use for that type of thing because I haven't done it myself. But, that was an idea I thought I'd say. I'm sure there's really good tutorials online though.

You know it really never made sense to me. For him to be stripped of his humanity. He should have been stripped of his genitals as well. The reason I say that because only a human needs that to reproduce them obviously to get rid of his urine that's a human trait the body needs a technically. So with him being stripped of that he technically has no need for it not to mention he can't technically die in a sense. Don't get me wrong I understand these are comics but if you really think about it he doesn't need it.
That's a great point. If he had been bare like a Ken doll, that would have really brought the point home that he'd shed his humanity. I'd never thought of that before. Great reading of the material!
