I was born in Eastbourne in 1952 and lived there till I was 16...It has changed a lot since then of course. I used to find the ageing population unsympathetic to a teenage boy growing up in the 60s so left for the Big City as soon as I could...I have been back from time to time and appreciate the beauty of the town more and more. I'm thinking of moving back there and this short video is the best I have seen on CZcams. Thanks for posting......

Stop here a few years ago at the bay majestic " which is now closed . loved it . we went to visit beachy head where they filmed the last bit of the film quadrophenia 1979 where the character Jimmy (Phil Daniels) jumps off the cliff with the , faces (sting) scooter and. also Brighton's " East Street . Another part of quadrophenia filming locations .
I wouldn't bother now. It WAS a lovely resort but is now overrun with illegal immigrants. Friends of mine who moved to Eastbourne a few years ago hoping to spend their retirement amongst similar people now see rather menacing gangs of them all over town. The ae horrified.
Not the Albiion Hotel at 11:55, that is the Shore View Hotel, stayed there many times its really nice! Crown and Anchor Pub across the road is great as well!
If it’s anything like other seaside towns in the UK, most of those grand hotels, built for hard-working, law-abiding, British people and families, will now be full to the rafters with illegals, fleeing northern France, now living the Life of Riley at British taxpayers’ expense. An excellent video.
The elephant in the room you haven't mentioned is Eastbourne is now overrun with illegal immigrants being accommodated at huge expense in some of these lovely hotels.

eastbourne has really gone downhill sadly, ive had to move because of the crime because of the 10 hotels housing immigrants. muggings , robery skyrocketed at the beginning of this year. crime in July was 513 reported, normally it is 100 to 200
