You need nearly 600 dollars to get garenteed banner character 5 star.
At endgame, you might as well build all the standard characters. That way, when losing 50/50 it just means your characters are getting buffed each time. I have C4 Keqing, C2 Mona, C2 Diluc, C1 Qiqi, C0 Jean, and C0 Dehya all built. Here's hoping if I lose 50/50 again it'll be to Tighnari. I'll build him too.
My C5 Qiqi will collect dust to the end of time :)

Plus you get more pulls from leveling them lol my diluc lvl 50 ascended and dehya 20 I don't think she's ascended lol and I have jean on my other acc for standards only ayato and furina on my other acc for limited not bad so far but I need variety in elements and a few more supports before I go for main dps but I'm pulling for raiden anyways and maybe nahida down the line until more husbandos rerun and new waifus release
My problem is I like to many characters regardless of niche or meta and I'd build even terrible units just to prove a point you don't need op to beat the game lol I gotta stop
@@magicnebula5398 I say build all the ones you want to anyway. I've been playing Genshin since 1.4., and I will say by the endgame post AR60, 36 star abyss, and everything having different types of gameplay is more fun. I've fully built 50 characters to level 90/80 with their talents mostly maxed out. The remaining 13 I think are partially leveled up for pulls. Just prioritize on who you want to build and you're good.
Out of 17 50/50s, i have LOST 13 of them. The last time I bought welkins was Sumeru’s last patch. Although it always means I’m guaranteed next time, it’s just tiring to always have to spend more time grinding. The 50/50 doesn’t feel like a 50/50 anymore. Thank you for the video though, the tips are definitely what I use when constantly losing 50/50s
Man you should’ve posted this video when jingliu dropped. Lost 50/50 at 86 pity and then ended up grinding back almost 70 wishes to get to 76 pity and still didn’t get her.

If I lose a 50/50 I always keep pulling. Even if I don’t get the character, I’m still building pity, and that counts for something. I also got a 10 pity Nahida this way so that motivates me.

Qiqi is kinda meta now because of Furina. Equip her with 4pc Clam set and Sacrificial Sword and she can easily wreck floor 12 of the abyss.

This video came at a PERFECT time for me because I used up all my primogems to try for C1 Wriothesley (only got C0), and now I lost my 50/50 (got Mona instead of Ayato). I am going through my backlog of hangout quests and world quests to collect primos (still pulling for Ayato). This keeps me going and prevents me from getting too disheartened. Got that "build pity" idea in my head, then won a 50/50 and now I have a cyno that I have no intention of using because I already have Raiden, and no dendros.
But hey, now to start saving.

I lost C1 Furina, and I got Tighnari, and right now I do my artifact farming in emblem domain using only Tighnari, and Furina as a healer

(i lost the 50/50 from ayato banner and got tighnari) LMAO and ive been farming primogems debating to try and pull for him again but, im actually going to wait for the next banners now (i heard the cloud retainer might be very soon)

My perspective is generally, I just started playing not long ago, and they're all useful in one way or another. :D
And this has forced me to save for a BIT so that I can maximize the use of my guaranteed on my next most desired character AND maybe save up enough to give myself a good chance at the character I want most after that. (And by that... I mean I currently have 193 wishes saved, and my goal is to get up to 270 wishes saved so that I have my next 2 characters guaranteed... mostly because I am pulling for the old Archons atm.)
If u lose ur 50/50 think abt doing quest and events for premos u can Aldo explore yes this will be time consuming but its better to know your 50 or 40 even less away from pity and ur next legendary will be guaranteed.if the character u wanted limited time is up and the next 5 star character is something u would consider wanting then continue pulling bc there always a chance you'll get the 5 star before 90 pity
I actually want Dehya because (she's a girlboss) I've heard that she works quite well with Lyney who is my main DPS so I would def want to try it out. Also exploring Dragonspine would be SO GOOD if I had her.
Obligatory Dehya comment for those who lost their 50/50 to Dehya: if you're building her as a support, her most accessible weapon is The Bell. The new Fontaine claymore, Portable Power Saw, is her best option if you have it. She is useful in the following scenarios:
- Dragonspine exploration (her ascension passive makes her practically immune to sheer cold)
- underwater exploration (her ascension passive makes her one of the only characters who can heal without NRE or a specific weapon)
- resistance to interruption + damage reduction will either replace your healer (if your on field character can self-heal like Wriothesley or Neuvillette) or your shielder (Bennett doesn't apply resistance to interruption but he can be used with Dehya quite effectively).
Dehya can be used in Spiral Abyss if you must (I've used her before), but teams that are good in Spiral Abyss are not the same as teams that are good in the overworld. Play to her strengths and use her to make your exploration cozy. A lot of the Fontaine characters have HP draining mechanics, and Dehya can prevent them from taking even more damage from enemies. I really do feel like she was designed for Fontaine.

You should be able to get enough wishes between now and when Nahida banner comes out to guarantee her, she won't be until 4.4 or 4.5
I got Dehya c1 and mona C2 I would have been happy with anyone else even Qiqi but this has made me feel better it was also at 90 pity this video had helped thanks
I lose my 50's so often i've built up immumity and i plan my pulling based on losing 50 and going to soft pity
Whenever I lose the 50/50, It’s still a win for me as long as I get a Mona for my one shot comp, a Jean for adaptable swirl comps, or Tighnari because he’s my only dendro five star until Nahida comes back in the distant future.
This copium is pretty good. I'm saving this one for later.

New player here, I lost my first 50/50 on Kokomi's banner, and got Dehya. There's no 50/50 on the standard banner, but it felt like it because my 1st 5* was...Dehya. Again. :D
But all was not lost because I got Yelan on my guarantee. Which actually turned into a better outcome in the end. I'm saving for Raiden (now on 200+ wishes) It's kind of tough because I would like Kuki, but can't risk it at 50 pity and guarantee. I spend my acquaint fates when I start thinking about pulling, just to take the edge off.
I didn't just lose my 50/50... I lost it to Qiqi while pulling for C1 Furina, and some 30ish pity into Ayato's banner because I was pulling for Kirara and Kuki costellations, I got Ayato.
Double the pain. Worst of all, I've only gotten Xiangling. Not a single Kuki, not a single Kirara, not a single weapon.

Ι was pulling for the four stars and i got Ayato on 20 wishes. But i like Ayato so i am not mad. Also he is my first limited five star dps on my account.❤ Actually my second 50/50 won in the game so far.
Funny I just lost my 50/50 on Ayato's banner. It might be a blessing in disguise cause I don't "need" him. Now I'm guaranteed whomever I want next.

Just got my first Diluc after 730+ days active. I’ve got WGS and a decent crimson witch set but still don’t want to build him. I love my Yanfei, Yoimiya and even my best built Xiangling more. I’m waiting for him to get the biggest reason to be used like Keqing was with dendro, hoping it’ll be Natlan.
If I lose the 50-50 on someone I really want, I'll keep pulling that banner for the featured 4 stars if I like them. Only time I will build pity. I don't pull for new characters; I wait for the re-run. Once the hype wears off, many turn out to be not that great.
Lost 5050 to Mona on Baizhu's banner but then got him 3 days before his banner ended anyway lol
started playing on zhongli/childe rerun and so far i lost 3 50/50s.. on neuvilettes, baizhus and ayatos banner and i won only one on wriothesleys. rip and all of these were on hard pity too..

This video helped me calm down, lost my neuvillette 50/50 to Diluc and was immediately pissed as this happened to me on another character with DEHYA, I was so happy I saw good and when I saw Diluc I was so sad and angry I don’t get to farm that much due to school and I really need the character to further my journey to get through the spiral abyss. Great video! Helped me a lot and you have a soothing voice which help furthers my calmness.
I won my first ever 50/50 last time yelan was up for grabs, then when going for zhongli I lost my 50/50 to diluc, then I got dehya off the standard banner by accident, and I just got raiden earlier this week plus I got c1 (the c1 was early pity) on accident while trying to build pity for nahida (I was also trying to lose a 50/50 for a guaranteed nahida pull 😅), moral of the story is you win some you lose some
Also by the end of this video I realized that it is correct that you should not attempt to build pity because you could end up with a character you don’t want to you could accidentally pull a 5 star while trying to build pity and get something you don’t want.
Most of the standard banner five stars have a home in the meta even if niche (Well except Qiqi and Diluc). I actually don't mind getting cons for the others. Unfortunately, Diluc has an unrequited love for me and I keep losing my 50/50 to him. It would be nice if Hoyo implemented an optimised path system for the standard banner characters. I'll just keep dreaming of c4 Jean on my Wanderer teams haha.

I came here for a rest from artifact farming, Ar46 and only one gaurenteed gold and it's always bad, it hurts after 5 days none stop 😂😂 I have C1 dehya and her main trait is just not dying, she's the only reason I manage to do level 90 domains at level 70 lol

I just lost my 50/50 to dehya, I use her a lot so I’m not mad for losing, I’ll just farm for primos for furina, since I’m ftp and a returning player, I’m not very experienced with genshin that much but I’m happy that deyha is my first 5 star
In my experience, dehya is good with a dendro and hydro unit to use burgeon! She's really fun to play that way imo
You can make her work. Content in Genshin is not that hard and people have used her in Abyss which is where min/max stuff is more encouraged. I personally like her character a lot so once I get her from losing a 50/50 I plan on buffing her a lot just to use her on field as much as I can. Most optimal thing is to set up a team comp where she spams her burst but I really enjoy her normal attacks so I wanna find ways to see em more often. I hope they eventually target her for buffs with a new Artifact Set.

Fun fact, once, 5 minutes before the first banner of ayato ended, I spent 172 wishes, didnt get him and had no time to get more wishes

I lose my 50/50 to Keqing over Neuvillette's banner. It was a pain like literal pain. I felt so down that I feel burn out. I literally bought a keychain of Neuvillette and I lost him. I was so sad. Too sad.
Same here I also lost the 5050 but got jean so I am not that sad . After the 5050 lost now I am at 54 pity gotta grind to reach enough primos in these 21 days

Now if only there was a pity system for artifacts. I wish I could refund the 120k resin I spent on emblem without getting a single 40cv feather, flower, sands, elemental goblet, or circlet.
My tip:
--- Build pity on a character banner you want (even better to build if you have 4stars on c6 as its extra pull...and yeah most of new 4 stars are trash)
--- Only pull for female 5 star characters (they are generaly better with kits and also a lot of them are support)
--- If you get Diluc or Tighri = trash them....they are just garbage and usless 98% of time. Qiqi can heal in frezze teams, Jean is realy good now with Furina (and pretty much replaced kazuha in BIS teams due to a healer needs), Mona is great for CC and Dehya....is actuly good tank character as her pyro application will not interupt your reactions (yeah you zhongli)
--- never give up and keep rolling (but do not spend money) till the last day of banner. Try to squeze every primogem from a chest/achivment/serenia pot in your world if you lack (i think i only miss like 5 chests in whole world that i still cant find and have 98% of achivments --- yeah i am not that desperate to talk to npc 1000000x times)
---- Before you roll...sacrafice your most cursed character (for me is C6 CURSED Diluc) to the cooking pot that is just east of that mountain in monstad (or build your own sacrafice place in serenia pot)

I wanted Baihzu and Furina. So I saved up what little primos I could. I figured I would try Baihzu first and if I lost 50/50..oh well. I would then def get Furina. Well I got Baihzu on my second pull lol. What luck. Switched to Furina. 3 pulls in on her banner and I lost 50/50. Ended up with a Diluc. 😢 I stopped pulling for a bit. I tried maybe 10 more pulls before banner switched. No Furina. At least I have Yelan. And now a Baihzu.

Got Ayato at 54 pity then lost to Diluc at 21 pity which is fine for me 'cause I like Diluc. Now that I'm guaranteed again, I'll just save my primos and wait for the Raiden Shogun.
