I didn't think we would win this match as this team beat PSG twice this year, but we still played well in parts.

Ça dépends, c'est l'avant saison, si tu regardes West Ham, ils ont enlevé leur défense et Rennes à gagné à ce moment là. C'est censé être l'une des meilleure défense de PL donc le résultats ne serait pas le même. Après c'est sur qu'on s'améliore petit à petit

Wow, we are a really poor side, I've watched some of the other Premier League sides pre season and we are way behind their quality, I hate being pessimistic but we are really going to struggle to survive the next season.

A few things picked up on pre season...why on earth this German guys been appointed as director of football is beyond me...what do these people actually do?...you have a coach who coaches and picks the team and identifies possible transfer targets...backroom staff assistants scouts that scour the leagues in search...its a disaster waiting to happen and it's been proved time and again that these technical directors are the stick in which any coach finds that meddle with his way of running his team...its a job for the boys appointment always has been...but having said all that we're dilly dallying again in the transfer market...there's 3 fantastic targets for us to go at...mctomminay ward-prowse and this young kid at man city...go out and bloody sign them!
@@fatbroccoli8 unfortunately they do, the results don't, but the way your team play with the ball in pre season is a good hint at whats to come. Pre season last year I knew we were going to be in trouble as it was awful. Same as this year, we are so so bad with the ball.
We need to fill that big Rice hole. Our defence was all over the place. We really NEED to fill that hole. Downes and Soucek pairing worries me. They are not the solution.
Soucek is always reliable for the aerial battles and the key goals. Downes is dead space
it's the defence and lack of finishing. we need that dec money to fix that gap

How do you get a team of players fit, focused and fighting for the upcoming season when you are flying them around all over the place?

I was in Rennes watching the game with my friends and it was the same old football we all saw from West Ham last season. Slow & Predictable.
We basically got outrun, outworked and outperformed by Rennes's youngsters.
A change needs to happen at west ham and it needs to happen quickly. Long season otherwise.

Moyes' love for Soucek will push the team into relagation zone. He's slow and bad at passing. He is Fellaini. Moyes have to use him in role 10. But there is Paqueta. Only one of them should be used. Moyes should give up his stubbornness. That stubbornness made him fail at Manchester United. The midfield is empty. It doesn't become an organic pass game. Thicken the midfield. The man who controls the midfield rules the game. And change the Emerson. He is not good at depending. Use a diamond 4-4-2 pattern. Benrahma - Bowen / Paqueta / Fornals - JWP - Gallagher / high-quality left-back - Aguerd - Scout - Chesters

Rennes were faster and better technically than us! So many of our passes went astray! Not looking good for the new season. We've got some quality players but the manager doesn't know how to set them up and inspire them. Moyes OUT!
