She doesn't have a soprano what? A soprano voice? Because she sang the same high note at the end that Sarah Brightman did. There are different types of soprano voices. Lyric, coloratura, soubrette, spinto, dramatic... Stephanie J. Block, while she usually sings mezzo-soprano, is what could be classified as a dramatic soprano. They usually have a lower tessitura than other soprani, but are known for being able to sing and be heard over an orchestra. Same vocal range as lyric, spinto, & soubrette.
I think the answer to that is NO! Lol. Stephanie is a musical genius! I never once thought she was capable of singing Think Of Me, since I've only ever heard her belt, but I have been proven wrong! You go, Steph!
She's got an amazing voice so I'm not bashing her but she seriously needs to work on her breathing. It's way too loud. I know you're going to say well that's because she's having a quick in-take of air before her next line, but it really is disrupting the thought process and even though she's singing beautifully it just distracts me :( It's not only for this song but for her performance in 9 to 5 as well. It's pretty disappointing that as good as she is I can't stop noticing her breathing.
