A 20 year old defeated the secret service. This is not supposed to happen. Failure of security.
There's definitely a failure of secret service protection. The other equally critical issue is that Trump's team has been repeatedly trying to get adequate security and "administration in charge" has been dragging their feet providing that support. Trump had a least the minimum security service required and little more from what has been stated in the last couple of weeks. Robert Kennedy has been ignored and has had little or no security service provided. It comes down to the reality that if you really intend to campaign for a" National Level" office, you might just be better off providing your own protection. Now, the opposition is wringing their hands and "very seriously" telling us that we should work together more and not have this "terrible division" in our politics.
I would guess that much of this sort of "we must work together" is for looks... we haven't seen much happen on the ground. That leaves an obvious "we'll have to cover this ourselves!!" Fortunately, Donald Trump is a leader who has a couple of bucks in his "rainy day fund" and might be able to handle that on his own. That's not supposed to required...

Yes the area not being secured is suspicious, but he was not “highly trained” he literally was asked not to come back to his schools rifle team after tryouts because he was such a bad shot. And he took the rifle from his dad, and a “sniper rifle” is just any long rifle with a scope, it’s not like some crazy technology that you have to be specially trained on.

This reminds me of the time a man dressed in cool weather clothing and a lot of gear and wearing a towel around his neck came to the fourth of July celebration in Kansas City, MO. I was working as an interviewer questioning people coming to the event and I asked him why he was dressed like that (he was sweating bullets as it was over 100 degrees that day.) He tried to speak with a Spanish accent but sounded way off. I kept and eye on him and reported him to the police and he quickly boarded a bus and left, The other interviewers thought I was just being paranoid.
The local yokols law enforcement was supposed to cover that,,,not secret service...

There were even a lot of people in the media who have a lot of reach (like a BBC media guy and Rachel Maddow I think) who either suggested that Biden should 'take him out' because of their immunity loss in the supreme court with the Secret Service or Seal Team 6 or they blatantly said someone needs to take him out or murder him, a lot of people online (like on Reddit) were also calling for his assassination quite blatantly after the immunity ruling. Now the media is calling for a quiet down of the narrative for violence on BOTH SIDES (when it has been only their side who have been saying stuff like this) and condemn the assassination attempt (even though lots of media were purposefully not using the word assassination but instead 'shooting' in their early reports). Its hypocritical and disgraceful. They are just mad that the attempt was a failure (even though a few inches or a gust of wind could have changed fate so that the bullet pieced his brain rather than being shot in the ear).

Secret Service is run by a woman (Kimberly Cheatle - former head of security for Pepsi) whose boss is Alejandro Mayorkas. They have too many female agents (that look out of shape) assigned to Trump. I am under the belief that SS detail on Trump was understaffed. They completely denied detail for RFK Jr. this is all on the current administrations Head of SS. Though we might think this was intentional. A lot of those SS members have been with Trump since presidency. I firmly believe they had the few people on stage all of 2 snipers on that barn. Who according to witness, didn’t have a viewpoint of that guy on the roof seemingly. Doesn’t excuse the fact no one had Eyes on that building L.E.O or SS Agent but if you’re severely understaffed for events the size of Trumps rallies. It is not impossible to conceive the notion that there were major holes in the Security detail. The Questions now become, The House democrats introduced a bill to attempt to REMOVE former President Trumps secret service detail, calls by presidential candidates for SS protection were IGNORED by this SS chief and administration. And when and if we get the information that Trumps staff or team or he himself had requested more Agents hell maybe his own SS team himself. Then and then only will we know the true extent of what and who may have willingly or intentionally allowed this situation to occur.

They hire morons and give them fancy badges and creds and the training is mediocre at best. The lack of intelligence in their hiring process lead today to the second biggest failure in secret service history in the last century. This was a pathetic response. How in the world did you not secure these roof tops? How did you not have your advance team scout possible snipper locations? WTF were you doing allowing president trump to be a sitting duck before you removed him from the kill zone? I work at a facility that had a Presidential Debate. No less than 2weeks before, FBI and Secret Service was all over the building that the debate was being held and all the surrounding buildings. The large parking garage that’s 1/2 a block away was completely closed. A 2 block fence was erected around the complex. The Secret Service tamper-taped everything that was able to be opened inside and out. Metal detectors were at every entrance. Bomb dogs were brought in to inspect everything. Mind you, that was all put in place 2weeks prior. How the HELL was this guy able to be where he was???
I've also worked in two seperate places where the secret service secured the building. My experience was identical to yours.
They took over the building, and screened us weeks in advance.
I think that could be the difference in a POTUS and ex POTUS though. Trump would have a much smaller security detail as an ex president I would assume

@@nunyabidnez5857You can't tell the exact platform from the sound. But we can tell that it is a small caliber supersonic projectile, shot from a semi auto. So it's very possible/likely that it was an AR.
Edit: The distance is plausible. Sounds a little further than 150 yds to me though. No further than 350 yds. That bullet was still traveling pretty fast when it hit.

Sniper was trained on assassin well before he started shooting. SS Sniper waited until the assassin fired 3 or 4 shots before shooting him. This is crazy

@@garthpilkey5965 On the internet, ive seen to many video's to remember which one it was exactly but i've heard one of the videos mention that the shooter got 5 shots off before getting killed. It was probably one of the video's where they interview (supposed) eyewitnesses. (I added "supposed" because for all i know it could all be fake/false information.)
