Back when this song first came out, I used to play Cry For Eternity on stepmania. I was still a noob at the game, so needless to say, the song would destroy me. But I never gave up. I would practice and replay the song, see how far I could get. More and more, I would progress through the song's challenges, like, its solo (hardest part). This song has won against me several times, but finally the day came where I made this song my bitch. I've come here to relive that victorious moment.

He said they just decided to wing it with no rehearsal. I think that song was Cry for Eternity. Someone else on some random forum mentioned it before a second time I don't remember which forum it was but again this was years ago.
I’m not convinced TTFAF is harder than this song. Fury of the Storm might be. But I played TTFAF and this song on my guitar when I was younger and this song is _way_ harder than TTFAF. You don’t even realize how stupidly difficult and painful this song is to play.

Plus, judging a songs difficulty just off of speed isn't really an accurate method, since that doesn't take into account the actual techniques used. It's like asking a pianist to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Clair De Lune at 200 BPM - one is going to be a lot harder than the other. I'm not a guitarist at all (I'm a drummer and pianist) but it's easy to see that especially the solo sections involve some of the most complex techniques that when paired with the 200+ BPM speed makes it a nightmare to play.

Great song. Perhaps not the best song they have made but def one of their best solo song. If not the best that is. Three complete different solo parts that all rocks my socks of. Revolution Deathsquad and Fury of the Storm are the only one i can remember that actually are close or slightly better in the solo parts.

It baffles me that Dragonforce haven't played this masterpiece live yet. And before some troll says it's because they can't play it; they've played much harder songs such as through the fire and the flames and fury of the storm.
+ElaborateTiger I can remember a while back (when I was the most hardcore DragonForce ever) I came across an interview or a thread or something I can't remember what it was, but supposedly they said they've played every song off of inhuman rampage live at least once and one of those songs was played so horribly bad they've just never decided to play it again. He said they just decided to wing it with no rehearsal. I think that song was Cry for Eternity. Someone else on some random forum mentioned it before a second time I don't remember which forum it was but again this was years ago.

I’m not convinced TTFAF is harder than this song. Fury of the Storm might be. But I played TTFAF and this song on my guitar when I was younger and this song is _way_ harder than TTFAF. You don’t even realize how stupidly difficult and painful this song is to play.

@@DiscontinuedChannelOne uh, there is no way TTFAF is 480 BPM, it's anywhere between 215 and 240 BPM, can't exactly remember. Plus, judging a songs difficulty just off of speed isn't really an accurate method, since that doesn't take into account the actual techniques used. It's like asking a pianist to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Clair De Lune at 200 BPM - one is going to be a lot harder than the other. I'm not a guitarist at all (I'm a drummer and pianist) but it's easy to see that especially the solo sections involve some of the most complex techniques that when paired with the 200+ BPM speed makes it a nightmare to play.

Great song. Perhaps not the best song they have made but def one of their best solo song. If not the best that is. Three complete different solo parts that all rocks my socks of. Revolution Deathsquad and Fury of the Storm are the only one i can remember that actually are close or slightly better in the solo parts.

the sad part when listening to this song is that they never played this song live. They almost did in 2009 and everyone but Herman had the song down, so they were forced to scrap it.
