I only hoped for a twist ending in which Knuckles turned into Hyper Knuckles and the two legends would finish the fight with a spare... that would've been even more epic.

This is a classic
Beginning
first form is classic sonic
At lvl 5-16
Then we go to modern sonic
At lvl 16-36
Then you must fight all 7 gym leaders and get the 7 chaos stones to evolve your modern sonic but you realize you also need a speed stone to evolve him and you don't know where to find it
Middle game
You find out they are 8 gym leaders and you find the location of the last one with your level 100 modern sonic but you see your rivals And they want to have a free for all so then You toss out your lvl 100 modern sonic and they toss out A lvl 100 shadow and a lvl 100 Silver and you all go at it
Later after the Battle
You get to the 8 gym leader he tricks you and steals your 7 chaos stones gives it to the legendary trainer dr. red man and leaves. you get back up and fight the 8 gym leader and beat him
you find out that Dr. red man has one of the last remaining speed stones and goes after him.you then remember you were knocked out and your sonic to then you also remember that They got part of your sonic DNA
End game
You see Dr. red man and confront him he tells you his plan to dominate the world with his new and legendary Metal sonic you get ready to fight him then he uses the 7 chaos stones and the speed stone to evolve The metal sonic to Neo metal sonic then to metal overlord you are too weak and you can't stop him then you realize he only use the bad energy in the chaos Stones and the speed stone so you grab all the stones and tell your sonic to use the good energy then your sonic evolves to sonic boom sonic and go supersonic to beat The metal overlord
Later
You win and leaves Dr. red man to die and go fight the elite four to then fight your rivals with there sonic boom shadow and sonic boom silver which can also become super shadow and super silver then you see that they have a speed stoned to and you see who wins
Nelson Gonzalez and then sonic grabs a chili dog and evolves into sanic and his level because over 9000
