  • Lookin' Out A Window, by me, recorded on 7-6-24, 'bout a half past midnight.
Well I, got a cat that loves to dogpile,
& a heart, thats bursting full of love.
I got a head, that's full of tortured nightmares,
& a soul, tryin' ta fly off like a dove.
My life is just one big old conundrum.
A puzzle I'm still now working out.
An old joke without a solid punchline.
They're all laughin', while I just wanna shout.
    [CH]
It ain't easy, livin' alone this lonely.
Its not fair, in love, or war, or dice.
N its not hard, to look out of a window,
and dream I could do it all over twice.
Well I, got a dog that loves to catnap,
& two eyes, always lookin' out for hope.
Two hands, that miss holdin' a lover,
Instead they grab a drink and pipe to cope.
Well I, got a bad leg and a bum hip,
& a lust, to wander through this world.
I got a mind, that's always thinking something,
& a freak flag, just waitin' to be unfurled.
Well I, turned my back on lookin' forwards.
I got no chances, 'cept a new one every day.
N I got no time for lookin' over my shoulders.
I just go so many things I don't know how to say.
    [CH]
    [Repeat last two lines]
(I'd still screw it all up, doin' it all over once, hence dreamin of doin' it over twice... Third times the charm...)
