Sergent Soymilk: (Combat Log 5/3/2024) We have received many reports of "Giant Bugs" popping up everywhere destroying towns and overwhelming cities. I was sent along multiple armor and infantry divisions, and we confirmed their existence not long after when the attacks started. There was these Fast tanky bugs that we could barely scratch our tanks couldn't help since those tank bugs destroyed them with ease by just running into them. Soon after these bigger taller ones appeared supporting the tanky ones. They could spew some kind of acidic bile that melts our troops and armor with ease. We could kill them with the weapons we have on hand, but the problem was that there was so many of them we got overwhelmed quickly we had to retreat quickly. We got back to our base and found it was destroyed by the bugs, but the communication equipment was still working. Many cities report these bugs coming out of the ground all over our world like they were there for months. We realized that was the Empire new plan all along by making us Divert and waste our Air force and navy to stop their Navel attack they transported these bugs to our world and had them reproduce underground and then when we were without our advanced military released them all over causing chaos with little to no way of stopping it. We don't know how they manage to get these but was probably gifted to them by the Combine. Me and our remaining troops made our stand in a nearby town to help with evacuating the citizens with the bugs flooding us in a matter of minutes. I thought this was it until orbital fire began blowing up the bugs from above, I looked up and saw an unknown spaceship in the air it was neither our nor Imperial design, but it saved us from the bugs. Then I received an encrypted message from it saying, " Beware the Terminids but you are not alone for your fight for freedom." before the ship jumped away. So, these bugs are called Terminids I have to call the higher ups about new weapons and tactics to counter this new threat before it grows beyond our control.
