Fragments of it are found in Sumerian hieroglyphs and on tiles and stones dating back some eight to ten thousand years.

I am watching this and still cannot believe that I climbed this mountain at Qumran. I went up to the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were first discovered. This was one of my most adventurous and fascinating escapades. I have absolutely no regrets. 😀👍🏻🎉

I have always felt that the way of life should be a simple and harmonious one. My own turmoil came from that feeling that we are highly encouraged to enter a stressful & laborious life of toiling under the guise of success, wealth and/or power. It just keeps us in survival mode all the time, even when there is no real threat to that survival. I’m ready right now for simplicity again. It is very serene, peaceful and satisfying.
As humans we have complicated the essence of living simple and fantasize about the past forgetting that there was stress than too

After studying everything I could get my hands on and using every possible moment for study for almost seven years~I have come to the absolute certainty that the Essenes way of life was and Is the truth. Even my studies of the indigenous American ‘Nations’ have profound similarities, including the reverence of a prophet they called many names including, the Healer and the Peacemaker, of whom taught all the nations of the Father Spirit in the sky and the Earthly mother. From the Polynesian islands to the Aleutian islands the stories of the prophet are subtle but there. The sign of the Cross is made before ‘tribes’ smoking the ‘peace’ pipe in memory of the prophet in oral history. The threads of this ancient gospel run thru every peaceful & pacifist religion ( those willing to die for their beliefs & God) absent only with the militant religions ( those willing to kill for their belief & God).

May I ask what you think about those manifold tribes and pagan communities around the world who cherished human and/or animal sacrifice, held slaves, almost constantly engaged in warfare etc?
I find VERY few truly peaceful communities beside the buddhists or essenes/cathars and some other christian sects if we go to the pre industrial era and back over the centuries and millennia.

The Essenes further made me understand our angelomorphic nature as Christian believers. Their biblical understanding was so much beyond what we hear in most congregations.
It depends on the books you are reading about the Essenes. Some authors complicate the Qumran teachings. I highly recommend "All the Glory of Adam" by Crispin Fletcher-Jones. I have the complete PDF if you want it. Send me a message.

With the initiation period, is this why we don’t know much about Jesus from a teenager to young man? I’ve always struggled with that.
Likely Jesus did what most jewish men did, they studied torah and so its very likely Jesus could have joined one of these sects, however Jesus is in his own category when it comes to what he taught.

I have tried to find the title of this book but have been unsuccessful. Is he referring to the book on the topic by Albert Schweitzer, or did Ehret write his own book about this?
Also, does anyone know what these natural laws are as they pertain to health? (I know he has mentioned the '"aw of compensation", and the importance of simplicity..)

The book "Christ Returns, Speaks His Truth" relates Jesus' time in the Wilderness and how it transformed him into a teacher and healer. It can be read online by googling the title followed by "free online". There was a small community of Essenes near where he grew up, and many researchers believe he spent some of he younger years with them.
I agree he was exposed, but I also feel he transcended the Essences as well as the Jewish faiths. He learned and developed teachings that formed a new and unique one.

She relates the hidden meanings of scripture. There's also a book written by Master Therion titled: "The Secret of Satan", which you'd find useful. Yeshua constantly referred to himself as "the son of man" (no more special than we) in conflict with those calling him "the son of god", wanting to make him their 'god-man'.

@@misterpibb108 It’s the opposite of definite. It’s almost a perfect example of “speculative and uncertain”. The Essene’s focus on ritual purity and adherence to the Law of the Torah is almost impossible to reconcile with Jesus’ teachings. A significant portion of his parables (across the 4 canonical gospels + many of the non canonical gospels) are in direct conflict with that worldview.
There is a legitimate, but by no means definite, case for John the Baptist. Anyway it’s generally a good rule of thumb to remove the word definite from your assertions when you don’t know what you are talking about.

This is slightly inaccurate, Jesus (PBUH) was the master of all spiritual schools he carries the divine spark within him. He Jesus didnt learn from them but instead taught and trained them, hence the name essene (followers of the way of esa) even the texts found in Tibet call him essa because it's his original name in Aramaic + Arabic.
All spiritual paths come from Jesus (PBUH) connecting with nature belongs to the Dao, spirit consciousness also belongs to far East traditions, baptisms belong to all Abrahamic religions, connecting to the spiritual worlds belong to shamans and mystics, all these paths Jesus carried within him he didn't learn them from anyone
In Arabic we call this (ilm al ladunni) this means direct knowledge from god, Jesus was a carrier of this divine knowledge since his miraculous birth.
With their diet they didn't regret meat but didn't actively go looking for it either so they remained balanced, otherwise Jesus wouldn't of been someone who ate fish etc.

Thanks for your critic. We are only passing information, it’s open for corrections if you feel so inclined. We didn’t preach this, but only presented it. But when we read this about 5 years ago which was a lifetime ago for spiritual matters were hopeful. As we keep searching- we’ll continue to find even more. My jury is still out!

Yeshua (Jesus) was not an Essene as you mistaken Him as. The Essenes were against the Temple and sacrificial system, yet Yeshua and His followers supported it. There are many other examples. Also, Elijah was not an Essene either as you have mistook him as. He was long before the Essenes existed.
Jesus has nothing to do with the essenes. There were many messianic groups around at the time.
I think he learned what he wanted from the Essenes, as well as many other spiritual groups. He transcended them all!
Palestine didn't exist when the Essenes lived! Judea and Samaria were the name of present day Israel! Palestine is an invention of Rome in the second century, invented as an insult to the Jewish people, naming their ancestral homeland after their ancient enemies the Philistines! Muslims didn't become a thing until 600 years after the Roman name change! Also it seems like the teachings of the Essenes and the Gnostics are being messed together by people who don't understand that while these two groups were both of Jewish origin. The Essenes were Jewish believers following the Patriarchs and the Prophets, while the Gnostics were a Christian sect who perverted the tenets of Christianity! Both were Jewish people, both buried scrolls, which are important in establishing that Israel especially the so called West Bank belong to the Jewish people, but they had very different beliefs!
