that Level 1 terror bird was most likely your 145. a level 1 dino is a visual glitch.
The level 1 thing is a bug I'm pretty sure, it's been happening on the Monarky server. It was probably the 145 bugged to look like a level 1.
We've been having that problem in my server too

Level 1 is a visual glitch it happens a lot to other people as well apparently if you go out of render and come back it will show you the real level
You can also just relog to fix it.

The Babys not getting the Bonus levels is either a bug or design, I have no idea but I do know this: In Single Player and on a Server, If you locate the Parent/Baby and Tame or kill the Parent the Babys will not get the levels **IF** they were spawned in during the current session. So on a server that would mean you need to find the combo; Restart the server, then Do the taming/killing to get the levels. SP is just a leave the game and hop back in situation.
Also the Level 1 thing is some kind of visual bug, they are not actually level 1, Ive had tames do the same thing. cant say if a full restart or relog will fix that though.

Was curious, so i went to test on Single Player, My Information is incorrect. I cannot get Baby dinos to get the Bonus levels. Not sure what method was referenced with the Gigantoraptor but Taming or Killing the parents either before or after a session reset does not give levels. So as I'm now aware, Babies get no levels. Have not tested on a server.
@@tjamesVids If it *is* design then I don't mind because getting babies is such an easy way to get tames but if it's a bug it's incredibly typical of Ark and quite off-putting.
@@littlebear274 It is by design. The only way to get levels on wild babies is to claim them with a Gigantoraptor, with the level gain apparently being based on the imprinting and post-level stats of the GRaptor.
Claiming a wild baby with a 100% imprinted Gigantoraptor with all of its post-tame levels will get the full 100% taming affinity on a claimed baby (so a 150 becomes a 225).
I had that same bug where I had a 150 wolf turn into a level 1.
The game just show you its level as 1, but in practice it still has its statc correctly, just reconnect and done

There is a bug that is causing dinos to show at level 1, including your own, relog to fix it. I don't know if there is other fixes.
For SE, Im going vultures every time as a shoulder pet. Great against microraptors and keep the meat fresh for an hour. Great vid!
Day 95 of telling Syntac that he's making everyone's day better.
Me and a buddy have our own server and we arent very progressed yet. He found a green treasure map and had it in a box. I went and found the treasure just figuring out how the maps work expecting green quality loot but it gave me an electric prod, 60 Organic polymer and a damn Ascended Crossbow BLUEPRINT. I was like well… this playthrough just got a whole lot easier lol. Loving this map so far, they NAILED the old west vibe. I didn’t think the cowboy pack would fit really but it all totally fits. Having a blast.

Yo syntac, if you use the shovel on the crops you will get a till bonus that boosts growth by 30% then slowly decreases, found this out wayyy later than I would’ve liked, hope this helps

In the horse map jim had a curse of level 24 now syntac has got a curse of level 10
I would love to see you do some more with terror birds this series. Since melee headshots have become a thing they have become one of my favorite caving mounts. They are quick, cant be headshot, and the glide allows for them to be very safe mounts in caves with jump puzzles or large drops.
Ive had some luck only imprinting wild babies after they stop fear running. Doesn't work on predators that would attack, but works on neutral dinos
I've had 2 ascendant maps drop so far one had a 325 armor ascendant theri saddle and 511% fab pistol, and the other a 753% sniper rifle BP at default loot quality settings. They are definitely OP right now

Ive seen the "level 1" bug a lot recently. Its actually the level its supposed to be. If it happens to your tame, you can cryo and release it and it will be back to normal. Ive had tames revert back to level from leaving render or just logging in/out real quick seems to reset them as well.
Syn if you trap a parent that has babies, the babies will stay near its parent no matter if it’s trapped or not. You can even pick a parent up and bring it to your base and the babies will teleport to it
The level 1 thing is just a visual bug that happened with an update that came out not too long ago. Happens on tamed creatures from time to time as well. It goes away after some time
Mantis can farm faster than any dino and can tame things super quick when u equip club

Tames randomly change stance from passiv to agressiv on login. Had a good Doed die because of that; got death massage and found it miles away from Base, drowned...
I started to build a wall around my place, a random Morellatops with baby wandered in and suddenly started attacking my structures for no reason.
Seems to be something creatures with baby do.

I really wish WC had done the wild baby system so that taming the parent would guarantee bonus levels on the babies, instead of it just being a 50/50 chance regardless of what happens to the parent. It might even be a 100% chance of no bonus now that the Gigantoraptor's dropped, which definitely sucks since it's technically a modded creature for now. I really hate humoring the idea that taming a creature is somehow just as easy as killing it :/

Well considering you'll be getting a horse soon, they're great for Scorched since they reduce the weight of Stone, Sand, and Clay.
Ive been getting a glitch that says level one but it's actually in the 100s on our server, the levels are definitely doing weird things.
Also the drop colors are scuffed because console can't change the light setting.
cryopod is weird. You have to have access to unclaim privileges even in your own tribe, and to cryo it you have to have the space to throw it even if you are picking it up.
Also sometimes you lose your armor when you die and it's deleted from your death bag.

When using treasure map, you can make a waypoint of that treasure, by rightclicking that point on game map and adding it as a POI - that way you can see the place you have to go even on dino. Pretty obvious I think, but not everyone might have caught on that
Love this series good pace aswell one video a day I can actually keep up with the uploads at the start of the island the uploads was to much for me 😂
not sure if you knew, and i havent finished the video at this point.. i have been using my morelotops to gather cactus as well, if you find the piles of cactus "bushes" instead of the tall cactus "trees" they gather a ton of sap with decent AOE attacks

I've had this bug happen alot, wild creatures (and other players) not sure if it's a Nitrado thing or an ASA thing but when you re-log it will change back. Example, I tamed a beaver, showed level 1, my buddy saw it as it's actual level and when I reloaded the game the level corrected itself.
that lvl 1 terror bird was the 145 its just glitched been happening in official servers too my friends could see the 145 but i couldnt till i logged off and on

See, I have grabbed baby dino's and have received the taming increase and I'm sure you have before too during the island series (I don't remember too well?) and whilst I can't confirm it, I think it might be due to the baby getting hurt and losing the taming effectiveness? The babies seemed to have been hurt throughout this series and it probably happens if you accidentally hit it too, might be worth experimenting with but it would have to be with a baby way out of danger because it may have been attacked previously. Just thought I might throw that out there, it might not be fact but if it possible to get the taming increase from babies (like from what I've experienced), then not getting it might just be a bug.

When I don't have walls I like to keep one creature on passive (usually a parasaur on turret mode) and then have the rest of my tames follow it on neutral. They defend themselves but always come home
3:47 you hit that bird 8 times dosing pretty much 200 damage each time so it’s 1600 health that was definitely not a level one that lines up with the average stats for a 145 terror bird though
There's a visual glitch happening on scorched right now where levels are visually showing 1, but if you relog it should fix it. That lvl 1 terror bird was probably the 145 you were talking about 😅

So I'm not sure if it's 100% consistent, but I've found that if I trap a parent dino and move out of render distance, the babies will teleport to the parent's location. I've had this happen with a Carno, a Doed, and an Anky on Scorched, and I've had it happen with a Doed on the Island. (Except on the Island, it happened when I moved the Doed a moderate distance to my base and trapped it; I had moved away in a different direction to grab a drop and when I returned, the baby had teleported into the trap.)
The ascendant map I've only gotten one but it was insane
MAKE A WHIP! use it on the tiny cactus with purple flowers and get rock/sand/sap make it much easier on yourself

Blur had this bug with the lvl 1 dino aswell. Turned out to be a max level creature after taming it. Seems to be a common bug right now. Maybe that was your 145, you were searching for. 😄

The level 1 was your 145. Occasional bug that happens, unusure the cause. On wild dinos they keep the health, but everything else goes back to level 1 base stats, on a tamed creature it will get some infinitestats (eg I rode on my bugged Argentavis for over an hour without having to land due to infinite stamina).
Imagine making a trap on the cart , trapping the wild dino there and taming it while u are traveling back to base

about that 145 terror bird. creatures have been spawning as level 1’s but have also been changing levels. for example i had a sabertooth and it was a level 50 but when i relogged it was a level 1 but kept its stats. later on it reverted back. so that could have been the 145 but it bugged for a sec.

Syntac killed the 145. If you watch Schwalbes recent Scorched Earth series, MonArky, he tames a very high lvl scorpion and sometime later that 145 turns into a lvl 1

If I recall, the wild babies only get bonuses if they were on a server during a restart, otherwise they do not. It’s like a bug or something.

I’ve gotten a total of 3 treasure maps (white, blue, yellow). All three have been from sabers and in the blue one I got an ascendant Yuty saddle LOL.

The level 1 terrorbird was the 145, I bet. There has been a glitch in SE that some dinos glitch out to level 1. If you cryo them and drop it will correct level.

My tamed Raptor once turned into a level 1 just randomly. After some time he changed back to the level he used to be. So that level 1 Terror Bird probably was the 145 considering that it had about 1600health. A shame really, it would have been a good breeder. Terror Birds are actually amazing in Scorched Earth caves. Fast, the ability to glide, good stamina and small enough to fit everywhere. With a highlevel bird, getting the artifacts is a joke.

Get a good megatherium. Nothing Agros to them and they can harvest wood from the cactus and regular trees. Good at getting sap too!
Re:the level 1 terror bird. That was your 145!! :( The game was shortening the name label on my server!! We use a spyglass mod that told us the actual level. For some reason the level #'s were cut off.
Nice Vid, love ya! Regarding bonus babyllvl on imprint, its prbly broken, Hello Indigo did some testing on a single player and found out it is server restart based. Babys have to be there before server restart. Maybe a good topic for your Channel/Shorts? :P
Been a few months sense i have played. So I am not sure if this works anymore, but for me if i wanted to get the level bonus on babies. I would us an argy to and put the baby in a pin and then take the parent a curtain distance away and then kill or tame it. So basically try moving the parent and baby apart and keep them apart while taming or other.

FYI if you make a house on your Paracer out of Adobe you can walk around in sand storms without getting hit with a stamina penalty.
the level bonus on babies only applies to gigantoraptor tamed babys, or baby dinos that existed before a server restart. wich means it was probably a bug and is suposed to be only from gigantoraptor

About the bonus levels it seems to be bugged out. the youtuber Hello Indigo! tested this and she found out that when you reload your game (without leaving the client) and then killing/taming the parents, the baby will get the bonus. And then it's bugged again you'll have to reload.
So would it be worth it to build a pc to run the game? Any recommendations on a build list would be appreciated!

i got to say I experienced a bug today where I saw my own dinos and all wild dinos were level one and didn't fix until I relogged so there could have been a similar problem for the terror bird
