Because it's fiction.
I was born in a country where my parents met and my mum was still focused on her career so because they met there she told my dad to take me to his country and her job took her to the UK and we visited her and she wanted us to move there but at the time her work was still making her travel and so we didn’t and then she moved to Australia and we came later. I get that the movie is fiction but similar things happen.
Yes it is but no parent is perfect and most likely she could not handle the break and ran away instead and she did what she thought was best funny in life its so easy to judge a parent but at the end of the day they do what they think is best and sometimes there wrong and make mistake stop putting them on a higher peddle stole they are human to that make bad choice I know its bad because it can hurt the kids but again there not perfect

It's when he can be anywhere in the world but chooses to only be with her bc life is always better with her by his side.
What I find weird is that, after having just rewatched this video and coming to this trailer, the trailer used a lot of footage that was not in the end product of the film. Very strange

Hilary Duff's iconic movies were my CHILDHOOD, her among other faces, man! .. i feel guilty for forgetting the huge amount of iconic or really famous or classics or just popcorn movies i've wacthed! i feel like, accept for the the past three years, there hadn't been a movie that was made that i didn't watch, of course that's not true, but.. i've watched a lot, like.. a LOT

FooCards88 it’s only a movie though, you think shows like Friends are realistic? We watch them because they’re fantasy situations. If you wanna watch something more depressing and close to reality then there are plenty more films like “Fish Tank” out there

This is the kind of man a lot of women wish they could find! Kind, intelligent, gentle, considerate and runs his own restaurant! I don't need a lot of money, just someone who really has his stuff together! I fell in love with this character so many years ago and realized this kind of man probably doesn't even exist anymore, how sad! Either way this movie is awesome!

This was such a traaaash movie 😩 the fact that they couldn’t even stay in one state for more than one year at a time ???? And it was painful to see how desperate the mom was ... PAINFUL! I understand imperfect parents and all, but this was just hard to watch.
At the end... JUST when I thought the mom was gonna grow a spine and actually stay single for one minute.... she agrees to go on the date literally five seconds after saying “I sHoUlD stAy siNgLe fOr WHilE” 😭 painful!!!
