Pediatric Thyroid Cancer: One teen’s story

When Lexi faced thyroid cancer, the pediatric care team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt set up appointments with several specialists all on the same day, and she had surgery a week later.
“They’re very inclusive and made me feel a part of it with everything,” Lexi said. “I didn’t feel like I was alone in the journey.”
