This is an updated version of an older video. The new verision includes an alternate method for getting secret #6, shown at 5:25.
****DO NOT SAVE AND RELOAD between the ledge where you enter this area until you have taken all the items, including the UPV, from the secret room. Doing so may trigger a bug in which invisible walls prevent you from swimming through the tunnel into the large room with the guard and/or into the room with the 6th secret.****
P.S. I know the colors are a little garish, but most of the videos for this sequence are so dark, I thought it would help to crank up the gamma a bit. ;)

Grr I'm so jealous of how bright and clear the PC version is I spent half of the PS version just lighting flares lol
In order to access the secret 6 (the underwater vehicle), you can't be spotted by 1#guard.But it is fine if you sneak up on the 2# guard( he still sees you and set off an alarm) and the double doors will not close right?
Touch wood, I don't think I've encountered some saving bugs but the invisible barrier that appears in the doorway you open to room with Diver & Guard, happened a lot when I first played it. I though it was because it was timed & I had to get to the door before the barrier appeared but this time I found that it was only (& may always have been) on the Right & I could swim Left, to get through. I don't quite understand your explanation of these barrier bugs & the connection to saving.
In the PC version at least, if you save at all in that area and then reload, you will probably get the invisible walls. It doesn't happen for everyone, but it's common enough to merit a warning. It's not the saving that does it but reloading the save file. The goal is to save before you enter that area and then make it through without having to reload. Once you retrieve the secret and UPV and get out of that room, it's fine to start saving again. There's another similar bug in the Temple Ruins level.
@@stellalune I don't understand. I never encountered this bug before but now I just can't kill the diver in time, no matter what I do. Every time I go to the Secret 6 room, the barrier is there. I've watched videos of players doing it every which way but I can't.
Are you saying the door is closed (normal) or there's an invisible barrier in the doorway (bug)? If you have the invisible barrier, it's probably due to saving and reloading in that area. I can't remember if you said you're playing on PC or PlayStation. If PC, I have save files on my site for both before and after secrets 5 and 6. tombraiders.net/stella/savegame/TR3saves.html
@@stellalune I'm playing on PlayStation. I'm not talking about a door now. I mean the barrier across Secret 6. As I said before, the doorway that you opened had a partial barrier on the right. When I moved left, I could go forward.
You know one of the things i love about Classic Tomb Raider Games is finding sercrets!!!
Me too! Some of them are pretty well hidden. I think it gives you a real sense of triumph if you're able to find them without help, but we all need a walkthrough now and then, especially for these buggy ones. ;)

Unfortunately, Stella, it does occur in my PS game. Not one of my favorite moments in the game, this is one of two stealth elements (the other one is in the High Security Compound level) in TR3. The sheer coincidence of the situation is that you really could use saving in this method to claim secret 6 in case you mess up. Makes some wonder if the game designers put the bug there on purpose, but then that wouldn't be fair in the official game world, would it?

Jason Arnold I would be surprised to learn that the bug was intentional. They already made the PS version significantly harder by making the ability to save a limited resource. It’s pretty well known that TR3 was rushed because of marketing/fan demand reasons, so I’m sure that’s why some frustrating bugs slipped through the cracks.
:sigh: I wish I’d seen your guide prior to playing this level on the remaster. Invisible wall bug is still there :/
Oh, no! Really?! That's bad. Of all the things NOT to fix.😭
Hopefully upcoming patch will do. For now, “back to the start” (I had a save before placing down the embalming fluid :phew:).

Go the other way round Where you encounter guard 2. kill him rocket launcher style, jump into water immediately and the frogman is there.
either kill him with the harpoons or rocket launcher then swim round to the double doors which should be open.
PS 4 is what I am playing on.😜
I think I’m going to use a cheat code.
Yeah, it's frustrating that they did not fix this bug. Just note that if you do use cheats, you won't be able to get achievements/trophies.
@@stellalune I womanned up and restarted the game. Followed this guide and got through 🎉 I thought it was going to be too much but turned out OK.
