- I made this video to show to my Sunday School class for our lesson on the Martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum (Gospel Doctrine lesson #32). The song is from the Nashville Tribute Band's album "Joseph", titled "As a Lamb to the Slaughter".
God bless Joseph smith and his sacrifices to help bring about the restoration of the fullness of the gospel

This is wonderful. I am a descendant of Hyrum Smith and this video reminded me of the tender feeling I experienced when I visited Carthage jail where he and Joseph died. Thank you Nashville Tribute Band and thank you for putting this beautiful song to this wonderful video footage.

I visited that jail back in the 50s.. It's affect on me has never left me.. we used to go to church at the visitors center on the Temple grounds.. where there were just bits a pieces of the Nauvoo Temple still sticking up through the ground..
