The most random thing to watch with absolutely no context
No worries, watching the whole movie gives you the same experience
The only context is that they are assigned to guard this place wich for no reason given everyone starts to die in very unexpected ways, a dude had a light wound in his leg and next time he knows is that most of it is already eaten by rats, another dude sinks in quicksand just because and the guy crucified ended up there without knowledge of anyone (not even himself)
@@eliel1815shadow lmao what a synopsis. Is it a bad film?
Yes, just wow and wtf
@@ericbooth3393 it's kinda acceptable, if you watch it from begining to end it does worth it, if you watch it from begining to middle or middle to end you are going to end way more confused
Me thinking its a normal war movie: this looks cool
Barbed wire snakes: Allow us to introduce ourselves
They say they are in purgatory after getting killed in the war, and the choices they made determine their fate
There's no barbed wire after he gets shot, I think it's in his head, like going insane after the horrors of war, I read another comment saying as much.
@@SoakieCat Sort of. Think PTSD but instead, it's during the fighting, not after. That's where the term shell shock comes in. A lot of troops ended up with brain damage out in the field of battle, and actually started to believe themselves that the trenches were haunted from all the killing surrounding them.
CatCalledCat but they all see it ?
CatCalledCat saw there all insane seeing the same thing ?
(barbed wire begins growing out of the ground)
Pvt. Thomas Quinn: Right, what's all this then
Jon Sudano Hey Jon why are you here?
Nice to see you here
Hey jon

Lmao for real
what movie is this ?
Eww the barbed wire or razer wire whatever when through his face🤢🤮
LOOKS LIKE AMBIGUOUS PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR'S BACK ON THE MENU, BOYS
lol
This is one of my favorite memey comments ever
They are not for eating!
Ever since I saw the part at 2:55 and noticed that there is no barbed wire around Quinn, I've believed the theory that the trench isn't actually haunted, and the traumatic battle during the prologue caused all the men to experience PTSD and go insane from the horrors of war, and that the curse was all in their heads.
Same
Hmmm, a sturdy theory
That is a good one however another could be they died in the trench and went to hell
More likely continuity errors. This is a low budget craptastic movie anyway.
They were in purgatory and being judged. Notice as soon as he admitted he loved killing the barbed wires came out.

Never seen this movie but immediately recognized two of the actors from King Kong, nifty.
Omfg, I just now realized that Andy Serkis was the guy with the lazy eye in King Kong lol
I even thought while watching this scene that it was a really similar performance to the guy’s death in KK, and then I saw your comment and put two and two together haha
Literally reminds me of how Lumpy died in King Kong. he was standing still in both movies when his character died. and the barbed wire reminds me of the worms that killed him in king kong by the way they move

The only character so far that survives is an animated one - Captain Haddock 😄
Barbed wire was the single one invention making cattle drives much much harder for cowhands and vaqueros in the 1800s. The man who made barbed wire was rich, and had manufactured enough to have it circle the world twice during his lifetime.
They were also the reason for cowboy era to decline since it did most of their jobs and it took less money to hire someone.
Why does he die in every movie? Give him an award!!

Andy serkis is a terrific actor and director. And every time I see his face movements I can't help but think of smeagle. That's how iconic he is. I'm glad hes the new Alfred in the batman alongside robert pattinson. They will make a great duo.

@@peterking8085hi i'm from the future and andy was a great alfred in the movie imo lol
For those who say they don't understand the movie:
They are all dead. They died in the battle of the beggining.
The trench is some kind of "purgatory" where their final path is decided.
Frederick (the german prisioner) is some kind of death angel with the task to "judge" those in there.
At the end they all died and go to hell because they did wrong even within the limits of war while Shakespeare gets to leave the trench so he goes to heaven.
At the end of the movie another group of soldiers arrives and find Frederick and the circle starts again.
If a group of German soldiers arrived at the trench, they would have found an english officer
Or French officier
I like that guys acting, what a great villain.
Just like Nagato Pain.
Holy shit! I just watched for the first time and thought it was just another world war 1 movie until that barbwire came out of the ground like a sci-fi horror. What is this film??
Starscream91 well he means not tradition warfare movies
It’s a hallucination
The movie is called deadwatch
All started with gas attacks. Ending may surprise you.
War sometimes makes you hallucinate. I think the director wanted to portray that. Because after he shoots him it immediately pans back and he doesn't have any barbed wire on him or near him.

At least it wasn't Alec Baldwin!.
Isn’t the point of this movie about soldiers going insane from war?
Not really. The film description is basically talking about how some soldiers come across an old german base. They find a demonic being of sorts, and try to escape it.
Grey Stripes oh
They’re already dead. They’re suffering for things they committed in life and being judged in equal measure.
Bit like the dead zone scenes in the ww1 trench in Death stranding then. Only without the zombie soliders and crazy Mads Mikkelsen covered in tar.

Barbed wire, the pinnacle of supernatural torture
Does make me wonder if during his hallucination if Andy's character was taunting him to 'shoot' him but in his head he was begging to be shot because he saw the barbed wire slowly killing him or if everything he saw and said was just in his head too.

Apart from Animated characters, Andy Serkis is good in playing characters who died horribly.
Even in different film roles, Andy Serkis still sounds like Gollum when he screams.
I can't watch this dude act without thinking about King Bohan in 'Heavenly Sword'
This actually looks pretty good. Compared to other war horror movies .
I'm so confused. So, is this battlefield haunted by ghosts? Is it some twisted version of hell on earth? Or is this conjured by the hallucinations of a soldier in shock from combat?
yes
Judging from those eyes, those big glorious, juicy eyes that you know the answer my good friend.
They are all dead but they are in a "purgatory". If they stay innocent like Jamie they can get away from the trench(Meaning that they would go to heaven). If they do bad they go down(they would go to hell).

I thought this was just going to be a World War movie, then it turned into Paranormal Activity.
You guys probably know this already but I can't see a single comment which explains it:
It was all in his head. Others around him don't react as much to the scene as he does. After he shot him the barged wire instantly disappeared.
This is what war does to a mf.
2:24 oh so that's why dogs hate wire fences!
Ill never get used to seeing Billy Elliot with a machine gun. It's sad his Ballet career didn't end well.
This film is pretty good. I love military history but I’m not a big fan of most war movies. This movie reminds me of old comic books I saw as a kid called “Weird War Tales”.
This is why you should take your barbed wire on frequently walks. If it stays in place too long it can get restless and destructive around the house.
Also this is really a great, hidden sleeper of a dark film. There are some scenes you can absolutely smell.
