Elizabeth Marvel is an impressive woman. She has the ability to portray a wide range of characters. She has one of those faces that can instantly throw a glaring look that reminds one of the Wicked Witch of the West and instantly shift to a very kind yet serious woman with deep and strong emotion. Sorry to see she has left the presidency.

One thing I noticed in these episodes to draw a comparison. I've been watching alot of the West Wing lately, and the Oval Office in that series always looked bright, warm and welcoming.
The Oval Office in this when she becomes President seems to have a much darker appearance. Not friendly, warm or welcoming. Perhaps a bit like the den of a dictator. Granted, I am aware the sets are completley different for different shows, but I just thought it was interesting!
It really is interesting and her always being dressed in black really added to the dark aura that presided over Homeland that season. Her whole presidency was shrouded in darkness and it only allowed darker elements to come into play. Those in the dark much like Dar Adal probably felt emboldened to act against her because they too could feel the darkness that emenated from within her administration and feared it would spread through the nation and ultimately the world and have devastating effects.
Just my crappy take since I just finished season 8! What a roller-coaster! Going to miss this show and I'll always recommend it every chance I get!

The only problem with Homeland is that they leave us high and dry - but it's so far the only TV show remaining that makes sense after the end of POI.
