Played about 2 hours of the trial. I was very skeptical of Payback when it was announced, but now that I finally got to play it myself, I can safely say that the physics are defenitely an improvement over 2015. For one, you actually have full control of the car now. I have yet to wreck because of some bizzare magnetic force pulling my car, which was abundant in the last game. The driving is more responsive too.
I’m looking forward to playing more later.

I found online free roam to be really damn annoying in Rivals and 2015. Nothing but idiots trying to ruin your gameplay.
Online is whack. Bunch of 12 year old sissies crying and running their mouths and just randomly driving into you. I'm an O.G. NFS gamer and ea and ghost went back to the roots of NFS which is why the old games were so good. Payback is going to be up their with the best because they went back to what worked all those years ago with UG,MW, and Carbon. A solid story line, awesome racing, and a bunch of cars/customization. Plus all the new features. This game is going to be awesome

Well, I do admit that the physics aren't at their best, but I really do not mind. To me, physics aren't the makers or brakers of a game. I personally even enjoy NFS 2015 up to this day, even if the physics aren't that good. I don't know, maybe I'm one of those people who are easily satisfied. Unless the physics are REALLY uncontrollable to a point where you cannot even finish the game because of it.
To make this clear, I haven't played the game yet.
Oh, and I've heard and seen people who have played the game and they said that the physics are fixed. So...
