“I know most people are annoyed at me singing, but that’s just me being me” exactly man. That’s what CZcams was made for. If they don’t like how you act they can go on and get
Can you imagine how happy you'd be to see one of Joe's shelters if you were lost or broke down out in the woods?
Frankly I'm glad Joe has sponsors. It means more content.
It's a job man. To get paid, you do things for other people. A minute of callouts for a company makes weeks of video.
This is the oldskool Joe. Such a good and relaxing adventure!
Thought that same thing as I saw the beer can after the fire "time lapse" :)
Nah old school Joe had holes in his ears, jumped into cold water and I didn't like old school joes shoes, now, I want his shoes :D
Hey Joe, don't let the comments get to ya and remember: Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.
Nothing is getting to this old boy, im extremely happy with how my channel is doing at the moment!
@@josephallen19 I second his comment. You do you. Don't feed the Karen's or Chad's.
@@josephallen19 Joe, how do you avoid wolves and bears? Aren't you scared?
@@SpeedBird001 Bears are hibernating (or sleeping in the case of black bears) at this time of year, though some leave the den occasionally to forage or rummage about. But anyway the dangers of bears and wolves are way overblown. Obviously attacks happen, but pack bear spray if you aren't out hunting with a gun and you'll be all right. Statistically speaking, you should be much more concerned about having a heart attack, stroke, injury, etc. while that far away from civilization than about any bear or wolf attacks. However if you're nervous you can store your food 3-400 yards/meters away from where you sleep, and not urinate close to your camp (not really important outside of bear country). Ultimately, the fact of the matter is bears have the best sense of smell of just about any mammal there is, so odds are the bear already knows you're in the area and if they want to come check you out to see if you're good eatin' they're going to do it anyway. Remember though, *you never run from a bear,* you slowly back away at an angle, and if they begin to follow you or chase you hold your ground while facing them and yell as loud as you can at them...
It's an awesome dad who let's their baby girls paint his toenails. You rock Joe! Love this channel. ❤
@Noche Jones hell no. That shit just grosses me tf out and if my kids ever do that to me I'm disowning them.
@@CommanderRich how absolutely insecure in your masculinity must you be. Yikes.
Joe,seriously, thank you for the work you do. I realize your enjoy what you do, and you are able to support your family. For that, I am very happy for you. But please know that some people who have enjoyed the wilderness the way you do, can’t do it anymore for many reasons. You take us there with you. You help us feel as if we are there. The work you do is WAY bigger than you. Thanks you sir.
I went to Cuba last year forgetting my 8 year old had painted my toes, it got a few looks on the beach. Didnt bother me either Joe
Keep on singing and being you Joe! That’s why we watch!
Fax I love joe he is such a great personality he is the child inside of all of us that we are scared to bring out
Note to self: always bring extra water in the truck...
Yea dude. Before I go camping I always buy two huge bottles of water, one for the hike in (on top of my full Nalgene) and one for the car. Water, a lighter, and socks. All you really need that you can't get otherwise
Also do not b a JOE stack wood next to you so you do not have to get out of bag , also when you THINK you have enough wood get 4 times as mush .
Leaving water bottles or jugs in one's vehicle overnight (or longer) in winter is tricky. Even a tough Nalgene bottle can crack when the water freezes and expands...and if it warms up again while you're gone, you get a wet mess in your vehicle. I work around this problem by carrying fairly flexible water bottles (which can tolerate some expansion) fill them only partially and store the bottles in a plastic bucket, so that if a bottle splits and leaks, the spill is contained.
@@PineMartyn I would cry if my Nalgene broke lol. Homie and me been through a lot of shit together 😂. I can't say I've had a water bottle crack in my car but the bucket thing is a great idea
I swear Joe looks like he's getting younger and younger compared to how he looked in a couple older vids! The outdoors must be healing
He doesn’t seem to age at all. I’m thinking he must be pushing 40, but he looks to be about my age and I’m 28.
That singing at the end was the best. Don't ever change
Love that you let your girls paint your toe nails, if anyone has anything bad to say about that are not a great dad like you. Keep up the good work!! And I love the video’s of your family camping 🏕
Yup. I'm a manly man and yes my daughter painted my toenails. (Who EVER can resist his little girls plea?)
I was concerned about your hydration, then I saw the brewski cooling in the snow!
@@josephallen19 Could have used a bit of the beer to cook the rice. Yum.
Yeah I forgot about the beer too and was worried I was like, that's not going to be enough :D
@@josephallen19 need to camp with Martin Joe, be cool to see. Love both your channels, take care 👍🍻 best to the family. God Bless ❤️
You're the man, Joe!
Joe is one of the best dad's ever!
Hey Jo, hope Tripper is doing good. And the family is okay. Much love from the UK
I always have to laugh a bit (kind of childish, I know xD) when I hear the name Tripper. In Germany, Switzerland, Austria and to an extend in the Netherlands, Tripper is a casual name for gonorrhea ^^
Hey Joe. Wanted to shoot you a message here and let you know that my kids think you rule. Lately, my 9 year old has also taken to watching your videos and is now begging me to go out in the woods and "do some bushcrafting" once weather allows. Can't say I don't have the same itch these days. Hope all is well.
That's super cool. Also sounds like something they will store in their memories to do in the future. I remember having one of those "Rambo Knives" that ya could store little things in the handle ... matches and stuff. They came with saw wire and extra things. Plus a compass on the handle knob. As a young'n, I was out in the woods using that thing everyday. I would like to think knives like those have influenced at least SOME of the best bushcraft content creators in their adult years lol!
I paused the video to say: I LOVE WHEN YOU SING!! You keep on being you. (I, too, make up songs about whatever 😁)
Nothing much more manly than a man who does bushcraft, is a wonderful dad that any daughter would be lucky to have and last but not least secure enough in his masculinity to not give a fuck what anyone thinks especially some stranger on youtube who's not secure in their own shit. Just made me like your channel even more.
Hey Joe, way to go man! Way to be an awesome dad! If your girls want to paint your toenails, you let them paint your toenails. -From the father of a wonderful 20 year old young lady.
You've inspired me to get back in the woods. As soon as work allows, I'll be making some videos and share my experience. Thanks!
You're a good girl dad!! Make memories that last forever!
Going platinum with the Lean-to song 🎵 👌
Notification received -> forget what I'm watching -> click on Joe -> like video first -> proceed to watch.
I love the comment about not caring if people like your singing because you’re just being yourself. I had someone say that I talk too much on one of my videos. But like I say, I do the outdoors my way. If it’s not your way, I won’t bash. Keep up the great content. Also, this was a great one. I liked the change up and the idea of a new area that you weren’t familiar with. 👍🏻
Honestly, I'm not a dad but one of the best things you can be able to do as a dad is let your kids mess around with you and not care in the slightest what other people think about it. I think your toes look gorgeous Joe 😂❤
Hey Joe been looking forward to this. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas too may you all stay healthy and safe. Love from the UK 🇬🇧
Merry christmas to you my friend, from MAINE. U.S.A. hope all is getting better for you all across the pond. Have a bloody great christmas !!! Lol sorry just been waiting to sas y that to someone from the UK. As it cracks me up everytime i hear it. No disrespect intended as my ancestors are from the UK. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS AND MAY NEXT YEAR BRING YOU HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY!!! IF IT DOES DONT FORGET ME !!! LOL
Happy xmas mate! Is thay even right? Lol. Myrtle Beach SC saying hello and Merry Xmas

that's right joe ,just keep being you ... that's what i am here for ...don,t change because other people think you should.
Well worth watching over and over again. Get well soon, Joe.
Don't forget to like, subscribe, and comment.
Oh hey, Joe posted a new video. There goes my productivity for the next hour and a half!
If there is an apocalypse, Joe is going to be fine living in the wilderness 🤣 Love the videos keep it up man!
I honestly wonder how far he’d have gotten if he didn’t lose his ferro rod on Alone.
Thank you for taking us on these walks. It is very valuable to share with others the beauty of our world, real emotions and your vision of what surrounds us! All this is a great work and art, it is worth a lot..... Thank you for the fact that more and more people are carried away by hiking romance, making people kinder. When you are in nature, you always enjoy the little things. You live in the present moment, and all negative thoughts leave our mind!
I already had a lot of respect for you Joe, but after this video and listening to you talking about your girls painting your toenails, I have even MORE respect for you. Nothing is more manly than being a good father. You're a lucky man and your girls are lucky to have a father like you. Keep up the good work, both with your family and your awesome videos
just in time for a snow day from work over here in Massachusetts! Love the minimalist camps, really shows off the skills and knowledge.
Been watching for years now, this is the first time I've commented in a long time. Thank you alot for these videos, genuinely enjoy watching what you do, be it trips, the fort in the woods or anything in between. Your channel is the only channel that I've used notifications on, ever. That's because you never fail to upload something that is truly entertaining & makes me feel excited to see what's next.
Thank you for doing what you do.
HI , SUPER NICE POST ! SURE HOPE JOE READS IT. THATS ALL... MERRY MERRY !!!
My feelings exactly!! I wanted to post a comment, but you said it better. Joe has helped get us through a lot of hard days and given us a lot of chuckles!
Joe: Try this next time with a long fire. Find a dead standing tree and cut it and place the end in a shape of a V, 6 to 8 feet long. Place the bottom of the V in the fire. When you wake up cold in the middle of the night just push the end of the V towards the fire and you never have to get out of the sleeping bag.
Very fun, and finding a new spot. Everything's coming up Robinet.

I literally just got done re-watching last week's fort build video, and now there's a brand new video to watch! I've been eagerly looking forward to this. Thanks, Joe! Keep up the great work :)
Living vicariously through Joe from my office at work. Love the vids, keep it up Joe!
That is a badass little shelter, can honestly say i wouldn't have thought of it. very homey.
I just came back from not watching him and now I’m back I remember every day after school I would watch his videos and be fascinated on the things that he built just from the resources he had thank you Joe Robinet for making great videos
Can we appreciate this mans cooking skills
So happy! A new Joe video! Needed something to brighten my day and here it is!
Merry Christmas Joe, to you and your family! Thank you for the many hours of fine videos!!
30:25 "im so hungry and i have a problem" - thats the worst combination of all. made me laugh. :))))
Last time you asked what we want to see, and i didnt comment but this was exactly what is was. Awesome !!!
Just want you all to see at 26:12 ish, he makes a ring of smoke. cool
Loved the El Presador reference.... I miss that guy!!! STUCK STUCK STUCK hahaha ;)
Love you Joe and your family. Willow, Emerald, Autumn and Tripper. Great little family. God bless you all and Merry Christmas to all.
I like how you preview the shelter, makes me want to stick around and watch even more!
On my last day of quarantine, YES! 👊
Love the wonderful attitude about your girls. You are a great dad!
Loved the video. Joe makes my day everytime. Never disappointed with them.

1:10:15 this moment right here is the reason im glad i watched this. this is really wholesome man. keep it up. i hope to be like this soon with someone i love :)
Oh man the snarky fire steel comment was hilarious!
really fun to see you don minimalist winter camping again, always enjoy these!
Great episode Joe, thanks.
I love the new space! Simple but comfy ! A few more additions you’ll be set !!
Amazing how quickly Joe can make something to call home. Looking forward to many more trips in 2021. Wishing Joe and family a Very Merry Christmas- Peace and Love.
This is getting a bit weird, everytime I get your notification, I'm just sitting down with a cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal! I'm ready for this one.
Literally I’m sitting here with the same thing in my hands as I read the notification for Joe’s upload 😂
@@RathAdventures I agree. I think it’s the cinnamon oatmeal with black hazelnut coffee.
Thank you Joe 😎
Omg, your lean-to song at the end was the BEST!
Ay joe, happy holidays. Thanks for making this year a bit easier to take
"aren't you that guy who lost his firesteel?" heeeheheheheh - nice throwback lol
Loved this. Thanks Joe.
show off!! your balance is wonderful. i used to live in the desert south west most of my younger life. we had a wash in the mntns we liked to frequent. back in the day, it was SO fun to hop from boulder to boulder all over that darned place. then when we got tired and sweaty, there was a spot that the boulders had created(flood) a little 'pool' to submerge ourselves in. i was in it clear up to my neck a few times. perfect.
Been waiting since the last video for this one, as always. Love it Joe.. Looking forward to the hut videos and anything else you decide to put out in the future. Your video's honestly keep me going.
So happy you added another video! Being snowed in + Joe Robinet = what can get better? Enjoy the holidays Joe!
You posted right as I left for work. Had a great day knowing when I was settled in at the end of the day id have a great video to watch. 110 mins of greatness, let's get it!
Loving the speed up of the video in parts, helps people see how much work you doing better than just a simple cut of the film. Love the vids man, keep up the good work!
Looks like you could have used Trippers help digging that fire pit lol! Hope he is doing well and hopefully you guys get some ❄️ soon. Love the camping in the snow videos. Loved this one too.
I need that lean-to outro in my playlist...like...now.
Polish in the toes is temporary but the memories, confidence and love they feel lasts for a lifetime. Girl dads rock
Joe, thanks for the camp fix. Much meeded.
Thanks to Emerald and Autumn, Joe's painted toenails win the Internet for the day!
Loving the latest vid! Back to basics it's so good to see your skills put to the test and you delivered as always! And the painted toe nails, what can I say, what an amazing dad!🥰👍
cool. thank you Joe ! :)
Just in time for my lunch break!!! Hello from Blue Line Overland!!!!
I’m always so hyped when joes vids pop up in my notifications
Nail polish reveal sent you up in my estimation. More power to you man.
I like it when ya sing joe! Haters gonna hate, right? Don’t worry bout them. You do you!
Had a feeling a video was coming today....thanks Joe.
Sidenote: I was lmfao at the toe nails part. I have 2 girls as well and was changing socks in the locker room at work....you can only imagine the comments and looks I was getting.
So idk if this could ever be a thing but if your up for it you should do a live video while camping! Then all of us can interact with you & hangout as well! I'd totally love that type of vibe! Keep up the hard work & keep giving us the best content as you always have! I hope the kids, wife, & dog are doing good! Hopefully we can see them on a video soon as well have a good christmas 🎄
Joe looks absolutely at peace out there. I aspire to be that at peace.
That was another great one Joe. Thanks for all of them.
We’ll never forget the lost firesteel
Love your stuff Joe, I rewatched ‘Alone’ the other day, forgot you were in it.
Wow! The power of Joe! I’ve just discovered you and adore your style and your message. Thanks for being there.
Good seeing you Joe
Hope you all enjoy this overnighter in a brand new place.
A little break from the fort videos, but right back to the fort next week!
Have a great day folks! I really appreciate all the views and positive comments lately 🙂👊
These scrub shelters have been pretty popular on yt lately. Thanks
I've been watching you since the being of your utube career. Miss da dogs. Keep safe and many blessings to you and your FAMILY.
Your such a underrated CZcamsr
Love all ur vidoes. Look forward to them
Hi again Joe , it's the old guy Lloyd from somewhere here in Southern Ontario. My good buddy Jim and I have enjoyed your channel and content for quite some time now and have started working on a new spot with two shelters/forts . Lol I can definitely relate with the toenail polish and my wife and I only had one girl ,lol.
