Karen is taller than the average woman so I think Hot Toys got Nebula's height perfectly with this figure.
Yup Karen is pretty tall compared to everyone other female MCU character. Esp in boots.

You can't compare real size of actors to their movie counterparts, because movie characters have it different. In movie, creators change their size to match their vision. For example, Robert Downey Junior is smaller that Tony Stark. In group scenes, he often uses heels for his character to make him bigger.
@@joseph_r09 Buuuut he's only a voice in the Guardians of The Galaxy franchise. If I did add Groot into the mix, his height would be all over the place since he's always a different size in every movie.
Karen Gillan is nearly 5" taller than Zoe Saldana, so the height difference is fine!

I wish they added a secondary angry face head sculpt. But I’m overall very satisfied with the figure.
Also Karen Gillian is 5’11 and Zoe Saldana is 5’7. The attention to detail from hot toys is on point IMO.

Hello Justin, great review as always, I will join you in collecting the rarer characters, so that Hot Toys will get the hint (and hopefully a hint about ankle articulation). They should be able to do Valkayrie with no problem, they've got the head from the Ragnarok version one-off they did at Comicon a few years back, so I don't know why they just don't go ahead with it - I need a complete A-Force line up! Keep up the great reviews and keep up the fight for ankle articulation!

This suit is from Guardians 2, Infinity War, and Endgame. It makes sense that if this is one of the few releases Nebula will get from Hot Toys, that they would pick her most-used outfit.

I do have to point out, Nebula was wearing an entirely different outfit when she had the gold plate on her head. As many others have pointed out, this Nebula figure is wearing the outfit she wore in Infinity War, and the first act of Endgame. I know chances are slim, but here’s hoping Hot Toys does a 5 Years Later Nebula with that headpiece.

I finally received my Hot Toys Nebula figure. I really think, this is going to be one of those figures that people sleep on. The sculpt is spot on. the colors gorgeous. The fabric is so much more durable than the blether, which has been on record as ruining 1/6th scale Ben Affleck/Batman, Anne Hathaway/Catwoman over time. My one cautionary for anyone thinking of investing in this figure, the plastic ball joints at the wrists are very small and delicate. Be VERY careful swapping out the hands which hold the blaster and electric baton.

Thanks for the early review. Been wondering if they did a split boot with female figures before. If not then I’m thinking due to the slenderness it could be a compromise for material quality and aesthetic to keep the streamlined look.

Wow Justin, I’m so glad that you called out the missing orange “pieces” (don’t forget that she had 1 on her left cheek as well as the top of her head). I’m planning to paint mine and buy a parted out robotic hand to melt. They should have included the orange (either switch outs, or as default) the melted hand and a Powerstone Orb (which was only included once with Star-Lord vol. 1 in the exclusive version). If I think about it, I could probably count how many times the Tesseract has been an accessory, but that (official) power stone orb is very limited.

@@JustinsCollection I’m not backing down from adding the orange paint to the stock headsculpt. Since the “pieces” were distinct parts, as long as I mask off the correct areas and mix the right colors to get that orange/bronze color, it should be much easier than the painting I had done lately (RotS OWK beard, Dooku hair, CM helmeted skin color, DX17 Bloodfin “lights” & adding other touch ups around the collection). It’s just part of the fun for me but I really need HT’s to release an “accessories pack” with all the past Infinity Stone “devices” (Power Stone Orb, Loki’s Short Scepter, Reality Sludge Container, Eye of Agamoto & Tesseract-the last 2 are pretty common so they should add that briefcase that was shown with the Team Suit Cap prototype especially since the Soul Stone just had a death test, no housing unit or device). It would probably sell ok so they will never do it.

Just gently with a pair of plastic tweezers and wiggle it back and forth, unfortunately there is no easy way!

Beautiful figure. I just received mine. Is the process of inserting the holster into her belt as tedious as I've read? Some are saying that although it's straightforward it's very difficult to get enough space to insert it into the small hooks, and they were even worried about tearing the belt off. Before I attempt to do this with my figure, can you confirm if you had the same experience?

The missing head panel option doesn't take away from this figure being great, Just like the first version Mando not coming with a vibroblade doesn't take away from his greatness. Come on how can the mudhorn killing version of Mando not come with the blade Hot Toys?

If I recall Nebula was one of the first figures announced for the Endgame line, which was well before the movie came out. Pretty obvious this is based on Infinity War and the beginning of Endgame. You're right, this should have come with the "five years later" look but that's not gonna happen when you're trying to get merch out as quickly as possible.

How did you remove the plastic that's on her neck and below? I got my figure and it looks like that plastic goes all the way down to like her chest but you of course cant remove the clothes. I just can't figure out how to take it off.

Your rant (it wasn't really a rant) at the end was well spoken. People have to put their money where their mouth is. But at these prices there's not that much money to go around. This is not some classic comic book character. A $250+ Nebula is pushing it. I hope people buy it but I can't argue with them if they don't.

As for the height, what you have to remember is SCALE. Karen Gillan is 5.11ft and Zoe Saldana is 5.7ft thus shorter.

This figure looks incredible. Annoying that they keep leaving ankle articulation out of figures. Why put so much work into making it so realistic if it just ends up looking fake since their feet don't stay flat on the ground? That headsculpt really is just perfect though.

It says Endgame on the box but this is primarily her Guardians 2/Infinity War outfit. She wore it for the first 5 minutes of Endgame but had a brown outfit with a jacket and the gold headpiece for most of the movie. Somewhat false advertising lol.
