What do you think about the 4.3 majestic padauk marimba?
Pretty good for what it is! Padouk bars are more and more used since the price of rosewood is so high. I just can’t get over the 3.5K price… Vancore makes a 4.3 marimba with similar features (specially bars and resonators wise, even with hand finished wooden end) and excellent sound for 1.5K less, so it’s really hard to justify the price… Anyways, excellent video as always! Really enjoyed it and good to know the sound of this marimba is also great!

I second that - that's my instrument! The frame of my M-Tech looks beefier. Gold resonators (matte finish), though, but I like the look.
@@drdrums1 -Adam won’t like the gold and the crank height adjustment, but the natural wood frame is nice, and the sustain. I like the more rosewood looking bar finish.
The M-tech has kinda been blowing my mind how much it rings out. It was really unexpected.

I thought it sounded pretty dead, it wasn’t very resonant for me. Maybe it was the mallets, or was it the material, Padouk ? Do you have any comparisons between Rosewood and Acoustalon (Yamaha) or Padouk?

You should watch some synth cams for WGI and DCI. There's a few I could recommend if you're interested that are cool. I'd love to see the thoughts of someone who doesn't play the instrument, or really know much about it. Might not be as "flashy" as some others, but it's still cool. There's lots of multitasking
