dude its so freaking cool but the sad part is that you dont get the recognition that you deserve this deserves like a million views
This would be the recognition I needed.
that you see the fact I don't get enough
Thank you for the kind words, We gonna keep grinding tell we get there!
The hood came out amazing
I would check for a bent flexplate or issue with torq converter to flexplate. Car is looking good. I dig the hood scoop
For that airbag remote, the 80's called and they want their cordless home phone back! Great looking build, I enjoy all the different projects.
Please say you're going to do bodywork and paint that's going to be the sickest CRX ever built
You should have Richard on one of your episodes we would like to see who he is
That hood scoop looks awesome!!
That the starter grinding on the flywheel! and staying engaged shim that thing!
I think you could extend the scoop a couple more inches sloping down & it would blend in more & not look so tall (but if you're happy with it you're happy with it)
-When you use motor plate/cradle for you engine, you should use a mid-mount too. That will control the roll or flex of the engine. I've seen on other car CZcams shows, were they use a front mount with a mid-plate for cars with high horsepower. Also it makes it easier to put in and take out the motor.
I’m thinking this is most likely my issue, gonna have to make some mid mounts
Why don’t you use bushing mounts instead of hard-mounting the transmission(metal in metal) exactly…don’t be worried about the transmission bushing going out it will take 5 years to happen 😂😂would take 2 mins to change 😅
Sounds like the flywheel is trying to sell clearance! .I'd try jacking up the back of the motor w/ the rear wheels off the ground to take whatever tension may have already been on the bell housing from the mount positions.. crack the bolts loose between the trans and motor and re-torque to spec with the juck still supporting the rear of the motor. Start it, throw it in gear and see if its gone. Love your content, brother! Hope this helps.
That voice activated airbag system is absolutely DOPE!
EDIT: Oh you dink, you were trolling
This is a killer build. Love IT! For the transmission sound, I would drop the pan and check for metal. Fairly easy to do and can head off permanently damaging the transmission. If the fluid is clean, check to ensure the oil cooler is not plugged. It's possible for the converter to shove forward do to the increase in pressure from the plugged cooler, pushing against the flywheel, possibly deflecting it. Then I would pull the mess and check to ensure the flex plate is not cracked around the mounting bolts. I know you put a new on, but if the TC had been slamming into the pressure plate, it could now be broken.
I had the SAME problem, and the flex plate had cracked around the bolts ... the trans guy said the flex plate bolts weren't torqued right
Let's go!! Baddest CRX On The Planet 👑👑👑👑
Now that's a CRV I'd actually drive.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Man can't wait to see it painted
I would definitely check at the torque converter. Possibly bolts not properly torqued, lack of fluid in the converter caused damage, bent flex plate. Something to check before you weld in a floor just to make it easier on you if you need to pull the trans.
Dope build been watching since the beginning 💪🏾💯🔥
Casey, brother, you deserve 10 mill subs.
That's funny watching Joe Rogan while you work lol. Multitasking
The burnout was funny as hell!
Gotta respect the hard work you put in on these projects. These 30mins videos serves you no real justice keep up the great work Casey👏🏾
Hood came out bad ass dude, great work man !
I kept thinking it needed to start a couple of inches closer to the front end of hood. But soon as ya finished it. I'm with ya ,it looks killer. I can't wait to see this ride finished. Killer work and ideas .
I like the new idea as far as working on one project at a time while you have parts, keep em coming Casey. 🎉
When you got out of the car breathing out tire smoke 😂😂😂 this thing is badass. Cannot wait to see it finished!
Definitely coming along nicely.👍🏾👏🏾👊🏽
Man, I just found your videos from a short wish I found this channel earlier because things your doing are awesome .
My wife and i 57 chevy has a 327... love it
MAN ! The hood scoop looks nice !!!!!
@22.48 that hood looked badass!!
The hood looks awesome but seeing the motor in there is so cool
Really like the scoop
The hood scoop is badass
Best looking car Honda ever offered. That exact body style. Love it!!!!
Yes to keeping the videos grouped together
Thanks for the content bro 🍻🍻🍻
That’s freaking sick voice activation… it’s turning out amazing I love the builds you do
One of my favorite builds so far always wanted a CRX can't wait to see it done and painted love the way you done the hood but I think it would look awesome with a shaker hood it would make it very aggressive and intimating every time you reeve it 😳🫣😶🌫️😁
Torque converter bolts? Front pump engagement?
scoop looks bad ass 👍
I like the scoop. I wasn't so sure about the speed holes at first, as it makes it look less stock - but now I kind of like it
Been following this build and only just realized I’m not subscribed. That’s fixed now. 👍 from 🇦🇺
finish this one all the way and keep it its cool enough to represent u 💯
Love this car
Here we go, work can wait while watch Casey fuck around shop
Lets go Casey's customs..
I'm putting floors in my house right now and get hit with that "Contemplating" buffer every time😂
Love this car. Cant wait until the next one. 👍
Like other people are saying, I would check your torque converter bolts and your flywheel bolts. Also make sure you don’t have a starter shim that slid out of place and can be hitting a torque converter bolt or something. You would be surprised, but I have seen it happen also the block spacer plates that go between the engine and the trans I have seen them bend ever so slightly and a bolt or a high spot on your flexplate will rub in that area, that is kind of what it sounds like to me, buddy luck keep putting out good content maybe one day in the future we will meet maybe work on a build together who knows what the future may bring
What an animal , a pair of Borlas or magnaflow would sound good. Excellent build Casey . Please keep this car
Hood scoop looks killer, I think like a bunch of other people said in the comments here check the flex plate to crank and torque converter to flex plate bolts. That's where I would start.😅
The hood looks good with the holes! That noise really sounds like something on the flex plate is rubbing.
Bro you have a vision and you execute. You seem to be a cool and humble guy who definitely knows his shit, but also isn’t afraid to step outside the box. Bro you will definitely make it. Would love to see you with a larger shop so you could have more room for projects and some like minded folks working with you. I could see you doing custom work for ppl and even to Sema if you plan on going that route.
Yes Sir!!!
Dude, badass!
The chatter..is the linkage giving a full.. full throw into park and then out of it. Cable and bushings. You have for sure installed plenty of ford colum shifters i bet. Mine was a bit out of wack and i couldn't get into gear all the way in one direction of throw.
OMG! That burnout was the funniest thing I've seen in the interwebs this week! How did you not make THAT the tick tock short? 😂😂😂😂
Looks good
What air ride system did you buy for the Honda?
Could the torgue converter be touching the bell housing?
I like the hood .. keep it. Looks sick, the fact that you did it off the fly also makes it that much cooler.
I learned the hard way to make sure you have a way to turn off the wireless controller for the air system when you are driving. I was on my way to the Starbird car show in Tulsa a few years ago and I had the air in my front bags empty out. My air tank was full so I was able to air it right back up but it scared the shit out of my wife and me. Apparently someone in the area was using the same frequency for something. Killer builds BTW!
That chatter sounds like flexplate to torque converter bolts. My 97 silverado had the same noise when I had a guy redo my transmission.
Is the torque converter center setting in the back of the crankshaft properly?
Casey on the scoop. For the sides put air louvers might look good and different than just a home made hood scoop. Just a thought sir. Keep up the good work
I like one project at a time. And this is the project I'm currently interested in.
Its like a little baby hood that sits on top of the original, I love it
Awesome! :-)
Flex plate bolts hitting inspection cover perhaps. Had that issue with the aluminum covers
Id cut at the body lines on the hood and make a large wide cowl hood. It will allow you to mount gauges under it.
Might want to pull the tranny out and check for any marks inside the bellhousing and to also double check the flexplate to crank bolts. But have you checked the front balancer or pulleys to see if they are rubbing on the crossmember?
Love it
Question do you plan to put louvers on the rear window? I seen one with the louvers yesterday
What about welding steel mesh on the sides of the hood scoop
Converter bolts or flex plate sweet built it's definitely cool
Looks amazing you can do another plate to close the hood same method plate and holes. Makes it stronger. And I think it would look good 👍 and that sounds like a flex plate bolts need some locktite
I'm diggin the hood if that chatter isn't the flexplate you might have to add a mid mount plate at the back of the block do you have rubber mounts on the front of the block? Cause you can't solid mount the front and rubber mount the trans
When you do the rust repair make sure to show an awesome before and after shot! Would make for great motivation to other Honda guys, chevy motor or not
If you have a front mount and rear mount. What is making the chatter is your flex plate
11:27 “CRX-Roll over”…😂😂😂
Hahaha shop burnouts are not smart. 😂😂😂😂
The hood scoop is wicked.
And the flip from project to project doesn’t bother me. 🤘
Torque converter bolts rubbing
i had that problem it turn out to be ripped around the flexplate mounting bolts.good luck
nontheless again a fantastic one-man job! I am proud of you.
Have u checked converter bolts
Love the trolling!!!
You got me inspired to do something with my S10. Put another body on it.
When we body dropped my brother's B2000 we made a cowl hood. We used the tops of 2 fenders to make the sides and the round front corners match.
Sick
What is holding the engine and transmission together? I see a lot of bell housing holes, but not a lot of nuts or bolts in that corner above the starter.
consider doing a shaker hood instead of the scoop?
Could be the starter catching the flex plate if the separator plate between the transmission and engine is missing ?
I love the work you do. I think you missed the mark on the scoop though. I was with you wanting to keep the stock hood, but things happen. I think it would look good to cut the original lines on the hood and raise it from there to make it look like a fox body mustang cowl hood.
Tony Stark built it in a cave from a box of scraps!
Could it be the a bolt on the torque converter
Check if the flexplate has cracks between the lightening holes. Sounds like chatter or sometimes even like a rod knock. It'll make noise when in park/neutral but will go away when in gear and a load on it.
PLEASE LIKE THE VIDEO!!
PLEASE make this one pretty! Glossy paint.. chrome.. suede wrapped interior..
Absolutely i will
You need to paint that sumbitch Red White and Blue.
Merica ❤
Is it actually all wheel drive? It looks like the front tires were spinning also??
