నేను 1999 /2000 లో DSP Probationer గా వున్నప్పుడు సురేంద్ర బాబు Sir SP రంగా రెడ్డి జిల్లా గా వున్నప్పుడు, ఆయన దగ్గర Trainee గా చేశాను.
ఇప్పటికీ I feel proud about it.

This celebrated IPS officer has been a synonym to all good virtues required of all - India Service officer a role model that he is to the new entrants to the All India Services, Surendra Babu Garu is a household name in Vijayawada city as he had endeared himself to the common people during his brief tenure as the City's commissioner of police that people from all walks of life in VJA City took to the streets demanding his continuance as the City's Police Chief when the then Govt transferred him, is an ample testimony to his excellent service. One sees such scenes only in movie's. The people of VJA still fondly remember him even after twenty years of his transfer. That speaks volumes of his greatness.
