another problem with that model is the 22 inch wheels. If you look at the documentation on the Tuff Torq website, you'll see that the K46 transmission is designed to drive 18 and 20 inch wheels, NOT 22 inch wheels. The lowest model transmission designed for 22 inch wheels is the K66. So by driving 22 inch wheels with a K46, John Deere is deliberately running that transmission to an early grave. Plus, Tuff Torq recommends the K46 be serviced after the first 50 hours to give it maximum torque and a much longer life. By John Deere not telling their customers about that, once again, they are deliberately running that K46 to an early grave.

Is that the plastic transmission case? That scared me from buying a new tractor and completely rebuilding a 40 year old American Yard Products tractor ( Craftsman, Husqvarna, Rally)

You can change the fluid in the transmission LOL. I’m guessing you run the shit out of it LOL, why not buy a 500 series?

@@ericsherman4181 your right, I did change the fluid at 70hrs. I do cut a lot of grass but still, biggest piece of junk, I'd never think about getting another one no matter what series lol
