- In this video of ‘Political Kisse’, the Editor of 'The Lallantop', Saurabh Dwivedi, explains the story behind the death of Sanjay Gandhi, son of the former Prime Minister and Congress chief Indira Gandhi. Sanjay Gandhi was Indira Gandhi's younger son who got killed in an airplane crash on June 23, 1980. As per reports, Sanjay Gandhi died due to head wounds in an air crash on June 23, 1980, near Safdarjung Airport in New Delhi while he was flying a new aircraft of the Delhi Flying Club.
The video depicts the adventurous attitude of Sanjay Gandhi who was very interested in sports cars, and also obtained a pilot's license and explains the entry of Rajiv Gandhi in the political arena. Watch the video to know more about the relation between Sanjay Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, and Indira Gandhi's reaction to Sanjay Gandhi's death.
