And it all started in 1957 . I voted labour until 2000 . I had never heard of LFI until i read an article online and that was it for me . I will not vote for any party being influenced by a foreign entity .

High time there was a limit on how much anyone can donate to a political party.
No it is high time given the abuse of the donation/lobbying system that MP's and parties cannot accept any donations. If people want to donate they should do so via the tax system. Tax the rich and then we decide where their contribution is spent.
A limit of $0 would be good .
I believe in the socialist Scandinavian countries all the parties get their funding from taxes so its budgeted. That way grassroots parties have as much to spend as big parties and to stop private donors
It is not donation, it's bribe and there is a big difference. They claim it's donation to make it sound legal. Why would these wealthy people give away their money? For nothing in return? Since we know it's for influencing policies to their advantage why not call it bribe? We the Brits are far far too naive I am afraid.

Surely any person has to have a limitation on how much they can contribute to a political party, otherwise why even bother with democracy. If fact any "contributions" should be barred and a transparent system to ensure a minority does not gain influence greater than their numbers.
