Bastien Lucas from Marciano Estate Talks "Fruit Zone"

The 2024 vintage is off and running and we are mostly through fruit set in the valley. That means now all the efforts in the vineyard is to set up the fruit zone for the best path to ideal ripeness, color and acid. If there is a common thread for 2024 so for, it's been one of keeping vegetative growth of the vine under control. With the winter rains and warm spring weather, winemakers like Bastien are watching the growth in the vineyards and making decisions to set themselves up nicely as they head toward harvest!
