Glad they are finally getting the deserved recognition and respect outside of japan.
I've been telling the Impericon guys to book crystal Lake since 2014.
Slayer....all of them! A man knows what he likes. Lol
I went and saw their concerts 3 times, and it was suuuper awesome all the time. Especially drummer Gaku Taura is a monster!
He did a 5 minute long warmup solo when i saw them and that was pretty much the best thing ive ever seen.
Saw them in Shibuya with Counterparts, the singer was crazy climbing up to the balcony at the end of the room and jumping down like 3 meters to the crowd. Was a sick show
2 days ago at their show in Los Angeles on the Neon/Alien tour, the crowd was holding him up by his feet during one of the songs. Literally just his feet and nothing else (not his lower legs or anything like that).
I'm so glad to see my bois moving up in the world. And is it me or is Ryo's English getting better?

Benediktus Reynold Setiawan Cionander he doesn’t “hate” them per say. It’s just he doesn’t like being compared to them. Ryo’s very conscious of CL’s all metal legacy since 2002. He wasn’t always their vocalist; he came about in 2012 actually.
Crossfaith started out pretty metal but got a bit softer and more electronic as they went on. CL has always been hard edged. Ryo likes to think CL is one of Tokyo’s heaviest metalcore bands. There aren’t a lot of true metalcore acts from Japan in general so that is actually kind of special.
In a way, they’re rivals.
That said, big acts like MAN WITH A MISSION and Babymetal all started out much heavier but got softer as it went on too. Ryo has always wanted CL’s sound to be unique and not plagued with Jpop clichés or pandering.
Maximum the Hormone is more of a punk edged example of CL’s mission.
But all in all, Ryo doesn’t hate these bands at all. He just doesn’t want CL to be associated with them in his fan’s minds.
These guys absolutely slay it live and I'm so happy they're gaining as much traction as they are. I'd never heard of them before I saw them open for august burns red and they blew my mind.

I love that Hail To The Fire is the one the vocalist likes the most, I can totally understand that too.
Donkey Kong Country 2 is one of the greatest games of all time! Ryo knows his shit!!!
This right here. My favorite DK game. Its challenging, longer than the 1st game and the soundtrack is amazing.

have seen them 3 times in London uk and they are definitely one of the best live bands ever !
Been a fan for a couple years, well since around mid 2018 when I saw them in London.
Accidently (well, unplanned/last minute) saw them live for a one-man show at Studio Coast Tokyo on my Japan holiday, and many other times in 2019. But at one of the Impericon tour shows I took the ticket I kept from that concert, and Ryo took it backstage to get the others to sign it, then tried to give me a free shirt when their card machine wasn't working at the merch stand.

Donkey Kong Country 2 has a special place in my heart! But the OG DKC is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! The soundtrack was incredible too. That boss fight melody has been used in SO many metal songs

They did come! They had a concert at Hard Club Porto last year, it was pretty fkin sick. They are also super nice, Ryu and Yudai got shook/happy if you mentioned less known songs from their albums, it was amazing to see their reaction.

Oh wow Donkey Kong country, AND he knows which number. Donkey Kong Country 2 was the epitome of overcoming hardships, when you're really stuck on a level for months. Then finally overcoming it on your own and finally finishing the game. Man it was satisfying.
