The music in absolutely on point -- more of this, please!
the shot where we can hear the breathing is dope. great workout, eager and afraid to try it ahaha
"Champion! Always follow you on television here in Brazil, when the 2016 Olympics take place here in Rio de Janeiro, I knew you were a" gold medal ". Congratulations👊🤘
Fantastic running and you look in great form, Olympic form. Love your videos as they are so helpful and you give so much back to the community. Well done!
You provide fantastic tips on how to manage running and prevent injury. Always so positive.
Keep up the amazing work, Gwen! Awesome job Talbot putting this thing together. Would love more consistent Workout Wednesday videos!
Beautiful track. Beautiful training.
It looks so hard actually so hard but very beautiful.
Keep up always Gwen.
Loved the video!! And the footage!! 🤍🤍🤍 thank you for inspiring me just before my run today 🔥🔥🔥
i love seeing your videos (both the workout ones and the more lifestyle-y ones); keep on keepin' on, best of luck, and stay safe :)
Love these sorts of videos - watch when doing my Pilates and stretching! Thanks Gwen
I have female friends who recently broke 20 in the 5k for the first time, I told them to watch your channel for inspiration haha! It's great that you're more than just an athlete and are a great person too. Great role model for others. Keep it up 💪
Truly some breath taking shots, movie quality for sure! Just all around great video
Great video Gwen! Can't wait to watch you in the trials :)
That looked like a pretty productive workout ! Good job Gwen :)
I thought Kate Grace left BTC.. maybe this was filmed prior to her leaving? @Gwen not that I’m a coach but your form looks good 🎉 I’m really excited to see who makes the Olympic team for 2021 in the 10,000m
You ladies are incredible!
happy for Gwen! A true champ 👏
It was really grt to see. I wish I cud run the way u all are doing
I love this track!
good run, nice track. time to run...let's go
Impressive Gwen, great work out
I love these videos and look forward to them, sorry Gwen lol!
Very beautiful track with a lots of trees. Hard to find a beautiful track in HK.
Great to see a new video! 😊 It would be great to have some where you also TALK - about anything that you are passionate about or anything you feel worth sharing! I really enjoyed your videos in previous seasons like 1-2 where you talked so much about your reasons, motivation, being pro with a baby, what it is like to overcome injury, life of you as an athlete, how you felt during the races, the importance of right diet & hormonal balance in sports, COVID everydays and so on. Don't get me wrong it's inspiring to see you work hard but I just wish there would be more about what's going on the inside, too! Seeing you personality shine through (though I know it must be more difficult, you always refer to yourself as a more private/introvert person). Anyways, thank you for sharing your workout with us and I look forward to the next video! :)
Great strength workout
good job everytime better and better
lmao y'all are flyingggg. so cool
Taking a quick guess I'd say you were doing those 500's in 90 seconds and the 100 meters in 30 so that would make a 33 minute 10K. It doesn't look hard until you realize the little time for resting. Great workout!
Go Go Gwen!!!
Please upload a video on running techniques ( breathing and angle of legs during running)
You run as a champion all the time. Good video of sport training.
So nice and green!
Well done, tough workout.
I’m riding a wattbike and hopefully hit the boost (basically an alter g) treadmill!
Very beautiful place to run. I have only a treadmill in a closed room.
Hey! That's a cool little session, I love fartlek training! Shooting for a half in April to try and run 65:30-68:00. There's going to be a lot of people shooting for a time in that territory!
I like your work
Just curious why it was referred to as a fartlek workout, when the distances were pre-planned. I've always heard that, by definition, fartlek is less structured.
I feel like a Turkey Gwen... but I’m still learning who is who... I don’t know the other runners... sorry! But thank you for sharing this video! It’s always awesome to see you guys showing us what you do! I’m motivated!
Alright I'll help ya out. Starting around 1 min in order. First pair is Gabriella DeBues-Stafford and Karissa Schweizer (these two and Houlihan are the fastest), then Marielle Hall, Gwen, Emily Infeld, Kate Grace, and Sinclaire Johnson(Newest member and I believe Kate Grace has left the team since this was shot). The ones not named or present are Elise Cranny, Courtney Frerichs, Colleen Quigley and Vanessa Fraser.
Fantastico 👏🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🔥🔥🔥
The great workout
Are those running socks? they look more like cycling socks and sit much higher. Cool video
Any chance you could give us an idea of your splits please Gwen?
nice music!
Gwen , what was the splits on the 500 ?
Muy bien
hi all right ... i would like to know what your pace is when you are making your time stronger and how and your step ... i'm from brazil i run for 1 year any tips
Wonderful
The Great British Marathon runner Steve Jones said in the 80s you must get strong before you get fast, Chicago Marathon winner 1984, 85 , 2hr 7 min 13 sec 1985.
Awesome music! Just had an edible and I'm grooving
💪💪
Like a Well Oiled Machine.
i love BTC😍
Is the idea behind the Fartlek to achieve the same time as if you were running a Tempo 5K? At what effort are they doing the 500's? 100% 90% 80%?
How does it work when y’all are running in a line? Is there strategy to who is placed where?
👍👏👏👏
How do these professional clubs work? You all compete at different distances but it seems you often do similar workouts? Do specialized workouts happen later in the cycle?
There is a lot of overlap in the distances they compete in. To be a great 5k athlete you usually also will be pretty damn good all the way to half marathon as the 5k is 90% an aerobic event. Schweizer, Stafford, and Houlihan come from the shorter end of the spectrum in that they compete HIGHLY in the 1500. The rest of these women in the video are 10K athletes and up with the exception of Kate Grace and Sinclaire Johnson but she is very new to the program and looks like Grace cut the workout short. In some cases there are athletes that compete extremely well from 1500 all the way to the marathon, guys like Rod Dixon for example(it was common back then to compete from 5k to 20k and even the marathon all in the same year as prize money made up the majority of your income).
I feel like a fartlek is one of the best power workouts someone can do. The only way to make them better is to put some hills in there.
What about 100 hard and 500 easy for a mile or so? 🤣 God I hate running. Well done making this look pleasurable. Thank God Crossfit doesn’t require much running. As I’ve gotten older, running has become something I dread instead of embrace.
Девушки молодцы!
that windbreaker is too cute
Track id?(for the music not the running track😉)
Sweden
Also known as a nandralone tempo run.
Beauty full ground. beauty full girls!!!😍😘
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔝🇧🇷🇧🇷👍🏻
Even if i practice, never can string them togeter
Black girl’s running form looks the most effortless.
You did not give any information about time
Congratulations you're a beautiful girl ok!
Is no one going to talk about how the number of girls keeps mysteriously changing?
This is a great workout but it is not fartlek I.e. “speed play “ should be carried out in eg a forest setting over varied terrain .
not sure I agree that terrain needs to be a factor but tbh i don't know the full history of the word
@@GwenJorgensen fartlek means “speed play”. Popularised in Scandinavia where athletes would train in the forests using the varied terrain to introduce increased training load (hills etc.) . The alternative approach was “interval training” which is what you are doing - very effective but more boring ! IMO. Jim Morrison (former runner in Scotland).
So you got the genetics
I love these videos! I watch them when I'm feeling blah or unmotivated. They help me to get out the door to hit my workout (to my ability) and enjoy it! It's also just so nice to see Stan so proud of him mom. Any positivity in this day and age is a good thing. Keep doing you, Gwen!
