Bookcases. I had gone through several as I’m in Texas where it’s hot and humid, and wood, especially wood bookshelves with weight on them, sag, break, and it’s a pain. IKEA has sturdy bookshelves that LAST.
Our family has purchased a LOT of furniture over the years in several houses. We love our bed with huge drawers underneath (only took hubby 2 1/2 days to complete), our shelving cubbies for my heavy dishes, and all sorts of little tables. Our kids bought a sectional couch and the daughter-in-law had it together in an evening. Three grandkids have only ever slept or had bedroom furniture from IKEA.
@@anetzband1383 We have a beach condo and just about every room is furnished from IKEA. Even the closets. We created a walk in closet from dead space and have 5, 96” tall PAX units in there. Along with the lighting. Everyone thinks it’s from California Closets or The Container Store. Those 5 units and all the accessories, cost just under $1,000.
Get the IKEA plastic bag dispenser. You can use it to store exercise/yoga mats or wrapping paper for you crafty people. I brought my exercise mat to the store to make sure it would fit. I mounted in the closet so it’s out of the way and not taking up floor or shelf space for $3. 🙌🏽
Thanks. I'm going to be a bridesmaid for a friend's tiny wedding and I'm a student w/ very little income, and since my main gift is a gift card, I wanted to get her a bunch of little items that she'll actually use, and picture frames and some household items are a great little thing I can add so she has something to physically open.
I bought several of the tool sets about a couple years ago as my job was relocating out of the building I was working in, and i was 'the guy' in the building that had a hammer for picture hanging, or a wrench or pliers to tighten up the shelves or assemble the newest office addition... (Seriously, folk around the building would seek me out to borrow stuff!) So as a holiday treat for each of the offices remaining on our floor, I got them one of these.. :) 3 years later they still are using them!!! The shaped storage makes lending and tracking easy... one of the office managers puts the borrower's business card in the empty slot so she gets everything back in a timely fashion. :)
I love IKEA. They make the most practical use of space and design. I have never walked out of there empty handed, especially after walking through the marketplace.
I got my 5yo one of the pandas and he carries it everywhere! It’s washable and it was like $4! I’ve gotta get another and stock it away in case anything happens to Panda lol
How about the $0.99 blue IKEA bags and the $4.99 blue IKEA bags that have a zipper and you can use like backpack to carry? I use for laundry for last 5 years and are still in great condition. Only used the cheaper ones and none have broken. Great deal!
Concerning the clocks, I make custom items that are also clocks. The mechanism alone is over $5 each. So to buy this clock at a $2.99 I not only get the mechanism for a buck or more cheaper, but I also get a clock “frame” that I can repurpose for many different things, as well as a clock “Face” that can be used in several ways also (From cutting out the numbers separately and using in an art project to making a time learning item for children by adding laminate (If it isn’t a wipeable surface already) and including a dry erase marker. BAM for about $3 Ive got most of the supplies for 3 separate projects
Next time, include the glass food storage containers. The prices are ridiculous, they come in various sizes, and one top fits all of a shape (round or square). They're really well made; more than one has survived a fall onto laminate floor without even a nick. Plus, they're not disposable, so there's no plastic guilt!
I love your commentary on the wall clock 🌞 'a nice gift for someone you like but not necessarily love'! I think I'm going to give this to my sister! 🙃🌻
I love the IKEA scrub brush with the suction cup that really works!!! The round stools are good for temporary seating, not for standing! Towels are good strong quality and love the loop. It’s also on the facecloths and kitchen towels! Love your videos!
Shopping at IKEA is so overwhelming but thanks for pointing out items to focus on! I was thinking of checking out the shoe trays and try to find the bench they were paired with
1:26 If you buy that Fixa toolkit, check the pieces before driving home. One of the screwdriver bits had a blob of metal and couldn't be inserted. When I finally returned mine, the woman in front of me was returning hers for the same reason.👎
❤ Ikea! I have almost everything on your list and then some. Also try the Bevara bag clips, at $2.99 for 30. They're strong, compact, and last for ages (in freezer and dishwasher).
The square DIMPA storage bag is a good deal under $10. It has handles and a zipper, and is clear so you can see the contents. Great for bedding, clothes, or other items you want to keep clean and tidy.
The Lack tables make great side tables for your couch and I even use one as my laser printer stand under my craft desk(also Ikea). One thing you didn't mention is their big blue shopping bag for less than $2. I use the big blue bag to get an entire week of groceries.
The Marius stools are great I upgraded mine with a wood seat and back rest to spruce them up. It makes them look like more high end stools for not a lot of money.

Storage boxes: I voice the storage boxes that have wheels under them. Bought a while back so I don’t know if they still have them. Also at Christmas time they have nice decorations.
One thing to watch out for is shipping costs, it is really necessary to drive to an IKEA because if you live 3 hours away like I do it could cost $150 to ship a bed that costs $350
They have horrible customer service and unreliable delivery as well. We ordered 2 bookshelves online. They never arrived. It took 6 months for us to get a refund. Only after getting our bank involved. It's definitely better to shop in store.
Just experienced this, myself. Bought my first ever thing from IKEA...a table with 4 chairs, along with cushions for the chairs. It was supposed to be delivered this past Monday, even got THREE calls from North American Logistics about the delivery (ridiculously priced at $49, for a $130 dining set). Never showed. It took FOREVER to get someone on the phone, and the delivery was rescheduled for tomorrow. Luckily, they offered to refund the delivery fee, and it's already been credited to my account. Fingers crossed that it actually shows up tomorrow.
Love Ikea. Next time I go..... I won't take my husband. He was a pain last time, and I didn't get to look at all the good deals. So thanks. Hope to go back soon.
Those yellow containers (PRUTA) make ideal sandwich boxes for my lunches. They had these other ones that had a blue top (Jamka, I believe) made great pasta containers for the price.
I ALWAYS buy frames from IKEA ( on the rare chance I’m in store - don’t live near one ) or online . I’m an artist and the quality is great for what you get/pay for- they are also fantastic frames for gifts , can’t tell you how many of these I’ve put portraits in to give at weddings/baby showers etc !
One of my favorite items was the Stabil splatter screen. It was very fine mesh, double layered with a small, tab type handle in the center that folded down flat for easy storage and no awkward long handle. I think it was $2.99 and it was spectacular. The current $2.99 Klockren splatter screen is the same size (13”) but has a more regular handle. It’s shorter and much sturdier than the handles on other cheap splatter screens and the screen and rim are better quality as well.
I love HP LaserJets and highly recommend their black double ink cartridges if you do as much printing as i do. However, I don't ever recommend their ink jets.
My favorite most-used cheap items from IKEA: 1. Fleece throw for $4. This keeps you nice and toasty warm in the winter. I layer one under my blankets as the closest layer to me as I sleep. It provides the surface temperature warmth, while the other blankets provide insulation and weight. 2. Chip & bag clip set. These are a set of 10-20 clips in small and large sizes, and are a unique design that I've never seen anywhere else. The allow you to easily close your open chip bags and other plastic bags without much effort, and do a reasonably good job at resealing.
The storage boxes (esp. the Skubb and Plugghast ones) have been an absolute game changer for me! Mine is an extremely limited space, and I had no way to store my large collection of arts and crafts supplies, until I found these storage boxes at Ikea. I bought several of the smaller Skubb sets (6 pcs.), which fit perfectly into the bigger Skubb box, and was able to organize all my supplies in one big box, which I was able to slide under the bed. If you don’t have a separate crafts room or corner, this is a great solution! The Skubb shoe boxes with the flap front are also awesome, and the front flap is a mesh material so you can see exactly what’s inside without taking out the box! And you can stack the boxes atop of each other too. I also love their silicone lids, which are awesome for food storage (when you can’t find lids for containers you already have). Plus, you can also put them on the pretty Ikea flowerpots (esp. the straw/rattan/etc. ones), to store all kinds of small items. They look really pretty! Also, I’m watching this video on that tablet stand you featured, so I highly recommend that too!😂
Those towels don’t really have hooks...they’re loops...to hang on hooks. I know, picky, but I really love those loops. I’ve been hanging our towels using those loops for years.
@Tara, do you happen to know what material the towel loops are made out of? I’m wanting to sew loops onto my pre-IKEA days towels and would love the help!
@@preceptgal I think they’re just cotton braided flat cording. They’re in the middle of one of the long sides of the towel, but I’ve seen a couple of other brands put a “loop” that laid flat in one corner of the the towel. The towels with the corner loops were only in like hand towels and wash cloths because bigger towels would hang too far down, and drag on the floor. I hope that helped.
Love bonus # 5 . You can use it for your plantas also . I used it for my starting seeds . I believe I have 10 of them lol but going to IKEA for more thanks for ur video...
As someone who has frequent fractures as well as several health issues, I’ve been debating for a long time about buying a shower stool. I have a big shower chair, but it’s so large it presents issues about manoeuvring around it. The shower stool is AUD50, on a discount website. However, thanks to Matt, I’m getting to our only IKEA pronto to buy the bar stool! It will need non-slip rubber feet added(could just stand it on my non slip suction mat.) It may not be ideal, but it’s certainly worth that price to buy now and assess, before I break my leg again! Thanks Matt! Edit, mostly posted this to suggest the idea for others who might have similar needs. I usually try to please the algorithm anyway, so it’s nice to be posting to share an idea
There is something I'm perplexed about and as THE professional, I'm going to put it onto you to research (unless, of course you haven't already) why are facial tissues so much more expensive in a square box than in a rectangular box. The cost comparisons are staggering! What are the most affordable tissues...and yes, this is an involved thing I know because there are so many types of tissues available these days!
Too bad IKEA does not offer shipping on majority of their items and delivery is way overpriced and a lot of the items are not even available for pickup option. Great finds!
Don't order online from IKEA. Our furniture never arrived and it took 6 months to get a refund. Only after getting our bank involved. Love the store though.
We were at Ikea yesterday (quickly regretted going on a Sunday). My 5 y/o could not decide which stuffed animal to buy. We finally decided on the monkey (he has velcro arms & legs). He hasn't put it down since. I love Ikea!!
You forgot to add the ikea milk frother for $3.99! It’s a beloved product. Similar frothers available at Amazon for $13 and up, so it is quite a deal and works great. Makes a great latte.
@ Karen Manning. I have been using the shopping bag for over 15 yrs as a laundry bag My laundry room is downstairs and hauling a laundry basket up and down stairs was so cumbersome, but it’s a breeze using the ikea bag .
OMG i’m not the only one who “helps“ stores by arranging their stuff. 😂 Oh and hey people, we have had in printers forever and just now switched to laser printer. (HP but I’m not here to advertise). Laser printers are so dang fast that my son likes to run into the office to see if he can beat the printer when we are printing his homework. BIG FAN.
The show tray we actually use it as a feed pan for our 4 dogs. They fight over individual bowls even though we have 4 so we spread it out in the tray and they don’t fight.
The irony of the Fixa tool set -- and I was using mine about 45 minutes ago! -- is that it probably *won't* help you put together any of ol' Ingvar's furniture because most of the sets don't include hex wrenches. One super-cheap buy that I appreciate is the Glimma unscented tea lights -- you can get a package of 100 of the little guys for about three and a half bucks, the best such combo of quality, number, and price I've found on tea light candles.
I built my bed of out 12 Ikea LACK tables lashed together with plastic ties. Sturdy, durable and storage room underneath. I will say, that while you CAN sit on a LACK table, any motion side to side has the potential to rip the legs out of the top. This was not a problem for the bed though as all the legs were lashed together underneath the bed making it impossible to rock them side to side... even with *ahem* vigorous activity :P
Inspect carefully for pet friend choking hazards. I took one of the lions made a small hole on a seam.. extracted some stuffing, replaced with catnip... let the games begin! Lol
Thanks! I am needing a mirror, wanting lanterns, and now, thanks to you, considering the cutting board and corner shelving. One thing, though; loops not hooks.😉
Thanks for doing this video. Oddly enough I need a really good cutting board and can’t seem to find the right one...I’m heading to IKEA to buy the one you suggested. Thank you!!
Thank you, your presentations are great & filled with helpful tips. We love going to Ikea & always find something we like. *at our Ikea - if you are a member & go to their cafe during breakfast hrs, coffee is free.🤗 And they have menu items for children. I don't know if this is at all locations.
Hello Matt, we don’t have an Ikea yet in my country but it’s coming. I think it is delayed because of the virus, but I’m really looking forward to paying it a visit when it’s safe. Have a nice day!

@@thedealguy Agreed! I'm totally in awe over the bamboo cutting board, and I'll be gifting that to myself this weekend 😊
Awesome information and bonus on the HP info too just happening to be in the market for a new Printer and HP is my first choice.
I'd forgotten how great IKEA is! Thanks Deal Guy.
I love ❤️ IKIA!
It's about an hour from us, so we don't go very often, but I sure do love the store!!
The IKEA $1.00 LED lightbulbs are fabulous
Thank you for sharing the great IKEA deals.
Wow Matt you’ve outdone yourself on this one! So far I have 5 maybe 7 to order now!!! Your a rockstar!
I love the towels with hooks. Use them for my craft room too.
I found out yesterday that if there are fewer than five available of an item, it won't be possible to click and collect. They don't want to oversell.
Thanks for your comment. I have never shopped at Ikea and I was going to
see if they delivery. Appreciate your comment. 😊
Planning a trip to IKEA tonight, so this was a big help for all the deals I didn't know about!
I bought the stool and scrub brush last week. The best scrub brush ever! I’m going back for more... here they are mint green! 💝
I know!!!
I’m 5 hours away from IKEA but I’ll be ordering now!
Let me know what you get!
I'm right down the street from one 10 minutes away. I'm going to try and get there at lunch time
I couldn't order from Ikea,it said order Ikea off Amazon
Don't order online from IKEA. Our furniture never arrived and it took 6 months to get a refund. Only after getting our bank involved. Love the store though.
Me either!! I’m only about 2 hrs though....
We were at Ikea yesterday (quickly regretted going on a Sunday). My 5 y/o could not decide which stuffed animal to buy. We finally decided on the monkey (he has velcro arms & legs). He hasn't put it down since. I love Ikea!!
Towels with hooks or towels with loops to hang on hooks?
He meant loops
You saw what they were if you watched the video - there is no need for a useless comment like this if you are trying to point out mistakes.
You forgot to add the ikea milk frother for $3.99! It’s a beloved product. Similar frothers available at Amazon for $13 and up, so it is quite a deal and works great. Makes a great latte.
Commenting within a minute is not something I usually do......ITS A LOOOOOOP. You place it on a hook
Should have mentioned the reusable FRAKTA Shopping bag. Only $0.99 USD and they hold ALOT of weight and can be machine washed. They are terrific!!
@ Karen Manning. I have been using the shopping bag for over 15 yrs as a laundry bag My laundry room is downstairs and hauling a laundry basket up and down stairs was so cumbersome, but it’s a breeze using the ikea bag .
@@carment1020 That is a great idea! The bag are durable and hold so much!
OMG i’m not the only one who “helps“ stores by arranging their stuff. 😂
Oh and hey people, we have had in printers forever and just now switched to laser printer. (HP but I’m not here to advertise). Laser printers are so dang fast that my son likes to run into the office to see if he can beat the printer when we are printing his homework. BIG FAN.
Love your channel and your enthusiasm. Keep it up.
Have not been to IKEA in a while. Nice updates. Luv your channel.
I think the nearest IKEA to me is 3 hours away, which is probably good as I don't need to buy more stuff but they have neat things.
thick bamboo cutting board is my best kitchen purchase ever
Appreciate your comment you can message my administrator, for further assistant w/a/s/a/p/

I bought a couple of those glasses in aqua a couple of months ago. They r thick heavy glass and under $1!!! Love them
All of the links you provided were MOST appreciated 👍🏾👍🏾
Woah! I need some of those glasses and that laptop under 300 when I get paid this month. Thanks for the research!
So awesome. I'm gonna check out some deals online. Thank you Matt
The show tray we actually use it as a feed pan for our 4 dogs. They fight over individual bowls even though we have 4 so we spread it out in the tray and they don’t fight.
Great finds as always. I love that there is an IKEA near me. In fact, it was the first location in the U.S.in PA.
😂😂😂😂😂 👍
Looks like I need to go back because the plushy animals beat petco prices!
Great items under $10! I like to buy glass storage jars though, it lasts a lot longer and saves on so much plastic.
Hello Matt, we don’t have an Ikea yet in my country but it’s coming. I think it is delayed because of the virus, but I’m really looking forward to paying it a visit when it’s safe. Have a nice day!
