How Often Should YOU Dry Clean YOUR Suit? 🤔

- I've got this question multiple times through clients and friends, how many times should I take my suit to the dry cleaners. But what is :dry cleaning": Dry cleaning launders and cleans clothes and fabrics using a chemical solvent containing little or no water. That being mentioned, this process wears and tears the fibers of a fabric.
Here is a loose tip:
If you wear a suit daily, you should be visiting the dry cleaners about 3-4 times a year (unless its really dirty)
If you wear a suit only on occasion than you should be visiting the dry cleaners about 1-2 times a year.
Again both conditions apply if the suit is dirty or smelly if none of these apply you don't have to take it to the cleaners.

The oils from your skin and dirt will build up around the neck and cuffs, that soiled material will then have a chemical reaction with the dyes in the fabric(search up oxidation on clothing). On top of that the dirt/oils will latch on the the dyes so when it’s dry cleaned the dyes will also be removed.
So please dry clean more frequently unless you want to damage your suites.
for long term and seasonal storage you should get them cleaned and brushed beforehand as debris and oils that sit can habe bad effects
I only use dry cleaners that use GreenEarth Cleaning. Been a game changer.

Well thanks I was planning on putting it on dry cleaning after I used it for the 4th time. I didn’t know you wouldn’t need to do it often.
Only you will truely know if the suit needs to be clean. If you see stains that are too prevalent take it in.

How many days you can were a suit without wash
If you wear it more than 10 times or if you see noticeable stains
OK how do you keep it clean in between time?

You must have some superhero fabric
You must have a polyester suit lol. Wool or linen are super resilient. Best manufactures recommend to not clean the suit at all if you don't have steins.
