Mangalacharan : Manikyaveena | Odissi Dance

A customary invocation that offers prayers and gratitude. It usually glorifies a deity in any form.
It starts with paying homage to Lord Jagganath, the reigning deity of Orissa, a dancer then begs forgiveness from the mother earth in “Bhoomi Pranam”. In this video, we have chosen a shloka from Kalidasa's Shyamala Dandakam, in praise of the Goddess Saraswati.
