    Another very nice tutorial.
    What i really love is the fact that you explain some real cases with normal photos.

    an excellent and very instructive tutorial about the magic of masks in ON1 Photo Raw 2024, especially the masking of the hair I have not seen in any other tutorial. Please do more tutorials on ON1 Photo Raw, thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the tip about nesting/collapsing that Properties window. I'm new to ON1, and I'm still very much a beginner. I also enjoyed your insights on masking, as I use them frequently in PS and Luminar NEO but am still learning in ON1. :)

    Nice, simple tutorial for newbies to On1. Masking is the key to all raw editing. Thanks. Can we intersect masks as in Lightroom?

    Thank you for this very instructive video. I am however puzzled by what you explain at 1:40 regarding the mask properties window. In my case, if I click on "window" I have only the option to show or hide the properties window but not to nest or auto collapse it. Any idea why (I'm on Mac too, and my version is up to date)?

      I found the issue. Although ON1 said it was up to date, it wasn't because I did not have the 2024.1 version. I upgraded and I now have the option to nest the properties window

    What’s the best masking technique for isolating just the skin on multiple people in an image? Example: what if you just need to remove a yellow overcast on the skin?

    • @WilliamBeemPhotography
      @WilliamBeemPhotography  Před 5 měsíci

      That's a tricky one. I've tried using a color range in the past, but it's not always covering all parts of the skin due to light and shadow issues. The encircle brush takes more time, but will likely have the most accurate selection. Once you make the circle, you can use the Refine brush to tidy things up.

      Thanks, I’ll try the encircle brush to see if that works. The big issue is when you have multiple people in the photo vs just a portrait of a single person.
