You know what the best part about meeting you at the pen show is? Picturing you making this video. And I finally seem to get your subtle humor. LOL. You are so funny! But you have to listen really closely to catch it. Love the things you got both at the show and the sidewalk sale!
Haa, it is so hard to accurately understand anyone's real personality online - when I am recording I don't feel exactly like myself either, it is weird talking to yourself and I often go off on some alternate tangent only to find that my pen has been hovering in space for like 5 mins - thanks goodness for the 'cut' tool in editing!
Pen fatigue! That's a perfect description, I totally felt it.I was so used to seeing a pen online and getting excited for it to be in my hands. All the pens I had on my list to try at the show just didn't spark joy, even when offered a deep discount on Sunday. Great haul! Thanks for sharing,

So crazy right! The textures are a little different to write on too, the Cosmo Light has som drag to it kinda like Midori to me.

Aww man, I missed you and others at the SF pen show! Will need to find you next show we both go to! ^_^ that mystic storm is pretty! So it's the squid blue. I think that platinum is said to be the blackest black ink from platinum to date lol.
I know! We will need to setup a meeting time & place so we can all meet up for lunch or something next year!
I am here with some samples of the SF Pen Show exclusive inks, if you want them! I am also feeling a little weird about not getting a pen at the show. I think having people with me actually prevented it. But that's not a bad thing, you know? Perhaps it's easier for me to get swept up in the moment when I'm alone. I do know it's easier for me to wander aimlessly when I'm alone. Hahaha
I think I got Flying Squid Blue in an ink flight and loved it. I can't let myself buy more blues though. Unless they're really really special.
ALSO can we talk about how I have watched a bunch of your videos and never really realized you were left-handed. It's like my brain just accepts it as the normal default. HECK YES WE ARE THE BEST!
Lefties Unite! I am not feeling too much regret about not getting a pen now - I think I am just too cheap to lay down $$$ in one day and I knew I really wanted the rickshaw cases so I was not too surprised in the end that I did not get one 😂

Jannah, Lovely swatches as always. Inky Rocks made a video about the Platinum Chou Kuro ink that is very interesting, with some great tips about using distilled water to rinse pens/nibs that are exposed to that ink: she filmed a little experiment demo to show why avoiding mineralized water is important when it comes to cleaning pens filled with Platinum's Chou Kuro. The video is entitled Platinum's Chou Kuro: The Blackest Ink of All.

@@jannahlyon Me too! And, ooooh, it's like a scene from a horror show when she adds that ink to mineral water!! I feel so lucky to have fairly decent water here and not the hard water like in some states that I've lived, so I just flush/clean my pens with tap water instead of bothering with distilled.
But if I ever used that Platinum ink, I would be very sure to take their recommendation to use distilled or purified water when cleaning my pens very seriously.
That's also a reason why I am afraid to mix different brands of inks together ~ chemistry can produce some unwanted effects.
Nonetheless, I'd love to see some of your artwork if you decide to use the ink in your beautiful watercolors. My guess is that the ink would be excellent for that purpose.
